  1. For those that may have missed it; this is the new intro video.
  2. After last Saturday's shutout win against Eastern Illinois, the Hoosiers will have much much tougher test as we begin conference play in Bloomington against the No. 6 Buckeyes. As coach Allen mentioned, they are the typical Ohio State with playmakers all over the field. The Hoosiers have been competitive against the Buckeyes in recent years but have been unable to get over the hump (maybe this is the year we finally do it?). Ohio State opened as a 14-pt favorite, which is the lowest spread in quite some time. Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt have the call from Memorial Stadium on Saturday. ESPN's Football Power Index gives us a 22% chance of upsetting the Buckeyes. For those that follow/enjoy SP+ rankings: Ohio State (2-0): Overall: 5 Offense: 14 Defense: 11 Special Teams: 23 Indiana (2-0): Overall: 40 Offense: 57 Defense: 44 Special Teams: 1 Let's Go Hoosiers!!
  3. The Panthers come into Memorial Stadium this Saturday for the Hoosiers home opener. Eastern Illinois is coming off of a loss to Chattanooga last weekend. ESPN's Football Power Index gives the Hoosiers a 98.5% chance of victory. Plain and simple, this is a game where the Hoosiers should dominate every aspect of the game unless they get caught looking to the Ohio St. match up coming up next week. Let's just hope we can avoid injuries while getting some more experience for Penix and our defense (aka work on tackling).
  4. Would have been closer to 400yds had receivers not dropped multiple passes! Sent from my GM1917 using Tapatalk
  5. Since no one had bothered to start the game thread, I figured I would! It's finally game week Hoosiers!! IU is currently the 17 point favorite and according to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Hoosiers have an 86.6% probability of winning. Let's see how Penix looks out there since suffering that ACL injury last year. My guess is new OC Kalen DeBoer will have a fairly conservative game plan to start out with in this first game.
  6. What could have been if some of these highly ranked in-state quarterbacks had chosen IU... instead they all ended up transferring from their original schools. Tommy Stevens from Penn State Mississippi State. Hunter Johnson from Clemson to Northwestern. Brandon Peters from Michigan to Illinois. Sent from my GM1917 using Tapatalk
  7. Athlon: Big Ten Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2019 https://athlonsports.com/college-football/big-ten-coaches-talk-anonymously-about-conference-foes-2019 What other coaches had to say about the Hoosiers: "You hate playing this team. They're always competitive; they're always fighting back and staying in games even when they're down." "They've been decent offensively, and they can scare you with their tempo if your guys aren't locked in." "They've got some nice young backs and a quarterback (Peyton Ramsey) that can really give them a chance. They're changing OCs, and the guy from Fresno (Kalen DeBoer) should change some things up." "They've had trouble finding the right QB to build a program around. A lot of us thought the other QB, Michael Penix Jr., could be that guy, but he tore his ACL. He was probably their best talent at the position." "Defensively they're giving up too many points. They're bad against big plays; you can take the top off on them. The line loses a lot. It's going be a tough year for Tom Allen, but he's sort of a magician at finding good defenses with bad rosters." "Being in the Big Ten East doesn't help them at all when you're trying to build from scratch. It's why they've been stuck right at five wins." "Allen is highly respected and really well connected in the state. He's doing a great job recruiting in state, even against Purdue, who really has it going. And it's not an easy place to recruit top-level guys to. It's just not a program with an identity when you get outside of that state. It's a basketball school."
  8. According to Gerry, we look like any other Indiana team he has seen in the past. Hopefully he's wrong and we can shock some people.
  9. We can't do all the work for you man!! lol but not really...Ramsey is the starter going into the season, we've had a good back to back recruiting classes, and strength and conditioning staff have been doing a great job of getting the team ready.
  10. For anyone interested in what Allen had to say.
  11. It has been said before but it's worth repeating; coach Ballou and Dr. Rhea have been doing a great job getting these players in top physical condition. Bedford mentions coming in at 260lbs and now being 305-310lbs! And as we can see, Williams is on campus now.
  12. Only other offer was from Jackson State. He is from a small town in Mississippi so that may have something to do with it. Hoping we just found a diamond in the rough!
  13. It was only a matter of time! Hopefully this will help reduce the number of fans leaving the game at half time.
  14. As some have mentioned, huge pickup for the class! but let's hope we have a good season and he stay committed until signing day!
