  1. Garland is freakishly quick. I see some Curry in his movement sometimes. Can create a little space at any time.
  2. Yeah, the point forward was a common trend. I think part of it was a lack of playmakers outside of Yogi, we never really had legit backup PGs. Troy has above average vision for a wing, but he was just out of control too often.
  3. Crean had the right idea of which direction modern basketball was heading but I felt that he firstly, lacked the basketball acumen to design and coach plays that fit with his vision and personnel, and secondly, I felt like he tried to use players in ways they shouldn't have been. Example 1 - The Juwan Morgan point forward experiment. Big athletic forwards that can handle the ball and make plays are a growing part of modern basketball and Juwan is a guy that can get a board and bring the ball up the court, but he just did not have the handle or decision making prowess as a passer for this to work well. Example 2 - We all know how sometimes Crean would have his Center come up and get the ball at the top of the key for a drive to the hoop. It started with Zeller, continued with Vonleh, and again last year at times with Bryant. It was by and large a disaster last season because Bryant was no where near as quick and athletic as the aforementioned players. This post isn't meant to bash Crean, he recruited and developed some very talented players. But, from what I've seen Archie is doing a very good job of recruiting big, versatile wings that fit better with the direction that basketball is heading.
  4. Kyle Kuzma looks like a crazy steal for LA. Dudes been shooting lights out the whole summer league.
  5. Not the quickest guard but I like that he can attack aggressive close outs and stick the midrange pull up. Big weapon for a shooter to have.
  6. Dallas came back from 25 down but ended up losing. Yogi had 15 points on 6-19 FG, 3-7 3FG, 5 assists, 2 steals. Was under control and made the right plays but he missed a bunch of layups.
  7. Mavs are up 25 with 5 minutes left. Yogi's night is done. He had 20 points on 7-12 FG, 4-8 3FG, 2-3 FT, 3 rebounds and 5 assists in 23 minutes.
  8. Houston loses 92-86. Troy had 13 points on 4-10 FG, 1-5 3FG, 4-5 FT, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 TO's.
  9. Yogi had a bad first half. 0 points on 0-7 shooting.
  10. Yeah he was hooking him with his off arm a little bit.
  11. Played good defense on the last possession to stop Lonzo from getting the ball but Philly fouled, Lakers win by 1. JBJ had 12 points in 13 minutes, 5-8 FG, 2-5 3FG.
  12. Just made a go ahead driving layup with 6 seconds left
  13. And he just hit a deep one
  14. Blackmon hasn't been getting many minutes but man I can't believe he's shooting from 3 so poorly. The D-League will be good for him.
  15. Houston lost. Troy had 20 points on 8-18 FG, 1-5 3FG, 3-6 FT, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 4 TO's. Had a team high +6.
  16. Dallas wins. Yogi had 23 on 6-14 FG, 1-6 3FG, 10-12 FT, and 4 boards.
  17. Troy is averaging 25.7 PPG, 3rd in the Las Vegas Summer League behind Bryn Forbes and Brandon Ingram (who only played 1 game).
  18. Houston wins. Troy finished with 27 points on 7-18 FG, 3-11 3FG, 10-11 FT, 6 rebounds. Played really well in the 2nd half, didn't take bad shots just missed some open looks. Just made a tough 1 on 1 drive to seal the W.
  19. Troy dominated the 3rd quarter. Had 13 points a chasedown block which led to 3 suns players getting techs and a diving save.
  20. Troy is having a rough shooting night. 7 points on 2-10 and 4 boards at halftime. Not really taking bad shots though.
