Correct, it very well could. But a game tonight doesn’t discredit that it “could” be him. He could have met with his son earlier for lunch or even dinner last night, depending on when the team arrived. Hell, I heard a rumor that the Stevens and Shrewsberry’s had dinner last night. Also, the portal opens the 17th or 24th or something. Anyways, if he did take the job, he would have to get a place here I believe, then get a staff, talk to current players, get a feel for them and then get all ready and ramped for portal. Now before I go on, I will say my kids are 4 and 2. They are not in college. But if spent my entire life loving a school (company) and my dream job was to work (coach) there and they called and said “hey, get your agent and let’s meet in Miami Wednesday night”….i would tell my college walk on son, sorry buddy, got to travel tonight. A freaking dream job (if that’s how he still looks at it) comes along and with the ability to coach my son, I’m on the first flight out. College son would understand So would most kids and adults. In my opinion, IU job isn’t in the same tier as Michigan or Louisville. They might have to fight for him, but IU shouldn’t have to fight with those two for a coach (that has no ties to any school). Now there is people that know way more about him than I do and have high thoughts on him. I’m sure I’ll get ridiculed for this, but for some reason, I can’t get myself pumped or sold on Dusty as much as I hate to say it and have tried. Besides his one final four run year at FAU, he’s 108-70. And this is just a question. Not directed at anyone, but a honest question.
