What has any of the Indiana family names EVER did in a power 5 conference?
-
https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/29749328/ucla-sues-armour-terminating-280-million-sponsorship-deal-school UCLA did not leave the deal Under Armour backed out and UCLA is suing them for doing so.

We are also highly aware of his highly successful resume of forfeiting final fours. To say that he does things above board would be a stretch.
-
Yeah because multiple guys leaving screams come play basketball here.

Sounds familiar. Then we will really just be grasping for straws because how ugly it could get will run away any chance of a decent coach seeing the fan base turn on Woodson.
-
I never said I was waiting on any of them. Do I think any of them are a better hire then Mike Woodson. Yes. If it takes him 3 years to right the ship he does not right the ship until he is 66. So at that point you might get 2 years from him you might get 7 who knows what you are going to get at that age. Then we are right back here to doing this again. Can his health hold up to the recruiting grind? A recruits mom and dad if in there 40's or 50's was at best a teenager when he was in the NBA. So I would not take it as a granted that they know who he is.
-
You are correct, but you could be putting him in a very touchy situation. Could you imagine what the look would be if IU fans turned on an IU legend. It is one thing to turn on Crean, and Archie it is something totally different to turn on someone who is a legend at the school.
-
He is in his 60s. He has never coached in the NCAA. He has never recruited. We do not know how his coaching would translate to college because in the NBA you are dealing with the top 1% not trying to find the top 1%. Kids today would have no clue who he was when he played in college or the NBA. I just think he would be very underwhelming.
-
I was excited about the thought of Stevens, but also thought there was several other interesting/good candidates. However Mike Woodson, and a few of the others being talked about were not on that list or were way down that list.
-
I don't either. I might be wrong in my thinking, but I just do not think that we would get the results that we are looking for.
-
As in he fails after 4 years or as in he does not accept the job. If the first we find someone that we should have hired this time as in the second we celebrate because he should not be the next coach.
-
Don't take these kind of comments as the general consensus of the board. Most of us appreciate you letting us know what you hear, and understand that things change. The people that do not understand this are the ones that are going to be upset over it. We are on these boards for these little tidbits, and we appreciate your inside views on things.

Ok mike Davis was an amazing coach based off going to a championship game with players that was left by the former coach. Mike Davis was the first hire in a series of failures.
-
Yeah and was fired just a few short years later when he had his actual players on the roster.
-
How much did Mike Davis have when he was hired at Indiana?
-
He is a blooper just over the second baseman's glove, but I really don't like the Matta or Belien ideas either so.

Don't let this stop you from sharing with everyone. It seems like so many people were caught out by this, and it seems he used IU's offer to get himself a raise. You was just telling us what you knew to the best of your knowledge if anyone has got a problem with that then it is their problem. I appreciate everything you said and done. -

That kind of money I am of the firm belief that they knew exactly who they were writing the checks to get. -

This I was hoping that we could give it to Pat Kraft, but Dolson might just be proving my hunch wrong. -

I don't even know if he is on the short list by what some others have posted elsewhere. -

He is always very careful with how he words things. He is worried about his word as a journalist and I can not blame him for that. -

At the bottom of a check addressed to the IU athletic department with 8 figures in the total box. -
