I’m a dawg in my profession and I can’t believe I’m here talking about this. There are no dawgs in the IU basketball team right now. Not an insult just an observation. Part of being a dawg is one holding yourself accountable in being the best you can be but also having the guts to approach a friend and tell them “hey you need to fix this or the team will lose” . Keith Hernandez was my favorite player and in game seven he approached our relief pitcher and had guts to say “ If you ^&&&** throw a fastball at all to this batter, Jesse we’re going to have meet outside at the parking lot”. The last dawg I saw in a IU uniform seemed to be Oladipo. I believe Cupps is one as well. YOu don’t know truly until you actually know them.

My final points. 1. I understand why the ladies went all out on the Iowa game ( to bring stature and visibility to the program). For this particular year I understand but next year the ladies should rest. You worked hard and for that work you should take advantage of the privileges you receive for working so hard. 2. I love our Coach. This is a program with long term potential to be a threat for many years. I hope recruits see our large crowds and look at the X’s and O’s And come to realize that we could be a hot spot to go to (NIL, passionate basketball fans, we remember our favorite players). 3. We as fans are now emotionally invested into the outcomes of this basketball program. This has it’s negatives but the positives will carry and help the program grow (little more money in ticket purchases, people to buy shirts and jersey’ etc). I’m so sad right now but in its own way, is a good thing. Looking forward to see what next year brings us.

Debatable but this probably the worst 24hr stretch in IU sports history.

Well I have the sads. No one is probably more disappointed than the team. At least my plane ticket to Dallas is refundable (credit). Dam

I mean you can but if I were the kid I'd look into the conference and realize how bad we are. ACC and SEC pale in comparison.

I've seen the recruiting process at UNC and Duke first hand. They definitely use the big tens style of play against them. I won't name names but I've seen coaches load up a video of big ten players hacking drivers and post players and said "you don't want to go to a team that plays in a conference that doesn't allow you to show your game". Take that information for whatever that's worth.

I have faith in Coach Woodson. We just really need to be selective with our recruiting .

Bates was the biggest let down of the season. If he doesn’t improve his defense I just want to flush this entire team and start the whole thing over.

Cups I think has that dawg in him. Hopefully we get a hungrier batch of recruits.

Welp very underwhelming season. Expected a tad bit better but IU is just not the same anymore. Still love my school but it slowly chips away at your soul if you’re a sports fan.

Bad rebounding, poor selection. Not much else to say. We need to recruit better speed, athleticism and players with the hate to lose mentality.

This might sound weird but TJD should at times be smooth at first (hook shots and small jumpers) but be aggressive on the follow up if he first misses. I think there’s a lot of easy buckets to be had.

Kopp might have given us the exhale we needed.
