The season is over and a little disappointed.
 
As passionate as we all are about IU basketball, we have every right to vent frustration. 
 
We also have many things to be thankful for.

Just wanted to throw this out there, but we beat 4 teams ranked in the top 25. UM, who is a 2 seed, beat 5. Yeah, it was a bad year, but that gives us hope that this team can beat anyone. We're only gaining experience

I think Will used his opportunity at IU to the fullest extent.  He brought the needed swagger to the team.

Throw in a big thank for Will too. One of my favorite Hoosiers of all time, his mark is going to be left on this program for a long time.

SMU will be in the top 10 next year.  They have a solid base returning with a stud recruit coming in.  That's the kind of game and recognition we need.

I will admit that I have consumed half a bottle of Scoresby Blended Scotch Whiskey tonight. Made in Lawrenceburg, IN. This season sucked. Bad. We were pre-season ranked in the top 25 by the Coaches Poll and by all accounts we should have made the tourney with at least a weak bubble team. It didn't happen. What I wont say is that I didn't enjoy every second of this season. The glimmers of hope early against UConn to the dregs of losing to Northwestern at home. I have yelled with joy and anger this season. But what I won't forget is the passion we showed against UM, OSU, Wisconsin, and Iowa. I won't forget Will Sheehey emerging as a leader. I won't forget Stan, Troy, and Devin becoming men late in the season. I love IU basketball. I forever have an IU tattoo to proclaim this obsession. I experienced the darkest days of a 1 win BIG season and the brightest of a #1 seed in the NCAA tourney. Tomorrow we will all wake up Hoosier fans. It doesn't matter who the coach is or who is committing, we root for our team. I wanted us to succeed so bad that I resorted to the drink. It didn't happen. But the future is bright. If you can pardon my French, I'm damn proud to be a Hoosier over anything else at the end of the day. Bring on next season. Bring on new hope. I love IU Basketball because it isn't just a game; It's who we are. I'm mad as hell, but I won't belittle my school, my program, or the Institution that gave me a degree with petty pot shots. That's what Purdue fans are for. Long live Tijan Jobe. Go Hoosiers and no one else
