    We just keep getting egg on our face. What coach is going to look at the way this administration handles things and say "I want to coach there." Great look.

    Like Rizzo during the playoff run, I'm in a glass case of emotion. Every move Glass makes is more embarrassing than the one before it. Spring Break now? Does he think we're that stupid? Lol

    That's the thing though, Glass didn't even hire Crean correct? Why is he so hesitant to get rid of someone that isn't even 'his guy'

    You know what isn't mentioned in Glass's statement? WINNING. All that above stuff is great and all, but if he can't win it means absolutely zero.

    We're just desperate to be elite again, that's all it is. I am definitely one of those people hanging on every insider's post. I know it's dumb, just how I am though. Looking to run with any piece of positive info and dying a little inside with every negative piece. I've grown up with IU basketball, so this would be a significant blow

    Yup. This is it folks. Goodbye any elite status we ever had. I'll be finding something better to do during basketball season I guess. I will not support a program with Crean as Coach and Glass as AD.

    It's tough to relax when our AD is more concerned with political correctness than doing what's best for IU. We need a go getter, not a guy who does everything he can to accept mediocrity. UL's AD is an example of someone we should have. If Glass fires Crean I'll change my tune a little bit, but until then my opinion of him is what I wrote above

    I'm sure it's been discussed in the fire Fred Glass thread, but what's everyone's opinion on Glass if he retains Crean?

    Marshall, Bennett, Donovan. All 3 fit that criteria at the moment and we have a shot with all of them. I think to a certain extent, the Miller brothers fit this criteria as well.

    I want a COACH. Someone that doesn't need 3 5 stars on their team to win. Someone that when you look at them on the sideline, you know you'll have a chance regardless who's on the floor. Someone who can get the most out of their guys on D. This is not Crean, and not Alford.

    I mean, that's kindve my point. Never been past the sweet 16. What makes it easier to do that at IU than it does UCLA? UCLA is a much more national brand than IU. I'm not trying to bring IU down, it's just reality. When you're recruiting a kid, does California and LA sound better than Bloomington, IN? I would think most people without their IU glasses on would pick LA in a landslide

    I guess I'm the Debbie downer today but are people forgetting Alford went 15-17 last year at UCLA? Why does one good year and recruiting mask his coaching abilities? To make it past the sweet 16, you need more than talent

    I've been saying this for a while, they wouldn't. Especially the older fans who don't use Twitter or social media much. They see Alford and think he was a great player for us so he must be a great coach as well. People are stuck in the glory days, forward thinking needs to be applied to this situation if we're ever going to be elite again.
