We had to back off right? Just doesn't make any sense with the other schools on his list and being one of Lamar's good friends

No longer considering IU according to twitter

it will have zero impact

Curry, love to shoot long treys lol -
The NBA Draft is coming up quick.
VO5 replied to FindEndNow's topic in National Basketball Association
I just don't see all the hype with this draft outside the top 4-5 picks. I would want no part of turner or kaminsky if I'm the pacers, bust central imo. What's up with people liking booker so high? He was basically James Blackmon with a better team around him last year. Sure, he can shoot, but what else does he do? Just don't see that one at all -
(2016) C Joey Brunk to Butler

I don't think this is much of a surprise, but fwiw. -
Hollowell will be an okay player for Georgia state. He wasn't, and never will be, good enough for BIG basketball because he doesn't have the work ethic.

What should be the biggest focus for players and coaches this offseason?
VO5 replied to FindEndNow's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
my point is that Draymond shouldn't have any business at all guarding him, yet he did. Dwight was going to get his points no matter who was guarding him, but Draymond did pretty well for a guy who was severely outmatched and that comes from effort and desire -

To expand on my comment, a great example is Draymond Green defending Dwight Howard in the western conference finals. He's 6'7 and weighs around 30 pounds less, yet more than held his own. That comes from desire, toughness, and an absolute win at any cost attitude. We need some of that on our team -

I get what you mean, but strength has little to do with playing defense (granted there are exceptions). Defense is all about tenacity, desire, and hard work. I have played with/seen many players who were "overmatched" physically and more than held there own on the defensive end. This HAS to be instilled in our players if our ultimate goal is a championship. I want to see grit and desire out of our guys, and it just doesn't seem to be there yet. Hopefully we see it this upcoming season. -
Updated 2016 ESPN recruiting rankings

I'll take Davis, Alkins, Carr, and Yakwe as of now. Pretty sure I read other places that Brunk is a long shot and isn't a huge fan of Crean. -
NBA finals Golden State vs. Cavs
VO5 replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in National Basketball Association
I really think the missing piece for golden state is going to be david lee. He's a threat to score down low when delly switches and I really don't understand why he hasn't played more. If curry shoots anywhere close to how he did in the 4th I see Golden state taking game 4 -

agreed. I used to watch sportscenter/ESPN religiously back in high school but they are truly becoming god awful. -

How any basketball fan couldn't enjoy this game is beyond me -
those plus a plethora of other measures such as deflections, defensive efficiency, rebound rate, etc.

Agree. Although as you have mentioned in previous posts, I really don't see Swanigan being able to play the 4. He's a 6'7ish plodder who would get destroyed by other B10 4s. He is best suited for the center position and at his height it just isn't very doable. I'm really not scared at all by this signing and I'm willing to bet purdue finishes lower this year than last with the strength of the conference.

UM Graduate Transfer Max Bielfeldt To IU
VO5 replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
it doesn't really matter. He's by all accounts a great kid on and off the court that could provide some sorely lacking leadership. He won't be a stud by any means, but he would provide some depth in the post. Scholly is a moot point as well (which I know you didn't talk about in your post, but felt it was important to add). I dont know why anyone would have a problem with this -
Lol basketball is absolutely a contact sport

This is a win-win situation. We have 2 schollies to give out, and as others have mentioned, a starter isn't walking through those doors this summer. It's a one year deal and doesn't tie up anything past next year. Bring him on -
Had to be done. Upset DD had to go because I truly believe he worked his ass off. Now Hanner on the other hand I don't mind one bit. Never cared, and now he's seeing where that avenue leads.

Looks like we get Duke, can't wait for this game!

He was cited, not arrested. Miller clarified in another tweet

Can confirm. He was playing at the Hyper a few weeks ago
