Timely? Idk, he and others got ripped to shreds saying DG was going to vandy and now the same is happening about Romeo going elsewhere. Not everything posted has to be sunshine and rainbows for IU. There are IU fans of all sorts and here is plenty of reason to be skeptical. IU has missed on these types of recruited for the past 20 years. Being a skeptic doesn't make one less of a fan. Of course the sky isn't falling. I read the entire game thread and that was not my take away at all. What I did see is some placing the blame on Crean still and saying we need to wait until Archie gets his guys in there. It is going to take 3 years before he really has a team of his guys, we cannot get blown the f out by every middling school at home in the interim. This isn't a cupboards are bare scenario like some have said. That is lazy and making excuses where excuses aren't needed. We may not have any studs that can put the team on their back but we don't need that. We have a team of quality players that Archie needs to get the most from. The good news is that he hasn't had that much time with these guys yet so I believe things will improve, hey kind of have to, nowhere to go from here but up. I have faith in Archie but he needs to get results before his guys get here and I don't mean a final four, just respectable and competitive which should win us a lot of games Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don't expect us to beat MSU. I do expect us to beat Indiana State and worst case scenario they catch fire and we lose a close but tough fought game. They rolled over us like we were a high school team. That is unacceptable. This year, we can lose to Duke, MSU etc, not this Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

There is way too much talent to come out on game one and play like this. We cannot start this "wait until Archie gets his own guys in" crap. IU needs to do a lot more with the current group, too much talent not to. No reason we should ever lose like this to a team like Indiana state. Yes, but if you were to objectively look back at Crean and his time here, he was in a similar situation as well, There are numerous examples of Crean getting us in deep and to the end with a lot of huge recruits... Crean didn't win many of those and until Romeo and garland sign, Archie hasn't either.
