Maybe recency memory but I cannot recall us ever getting blown out of so many games as we have this year. We have had some massive losses which means we weren't prepared, didn't fight and didn't execute. Our defense really isn't anything to write home about and I am still baffled at how bad our team is shooting the ball. These are guys that used to be decent shooters, why have they gotten worse? Tonight's game was frustrating as all can be, mostly because I didn't see a strategy to end the madness when we were committing fouls on every play for 15 minutes straight or not scoring a bucket for 6-7 minute periods or not getting the ball into Morgan for like 8 minutes straight etc. Losses happen but I want to look over at the bench and see our coach and know we have a few extra points/possessions/stops and I don't know that I do Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

If the staff didn't impact shooting how do you account for almost the entire team getting worse from the line and from 3 point range. Limit their access and sell to people who care about basketball? Come on, the students are half of the equation. The alumni and other are not showing up or being loud and proud either. The games, sans Duke and a few others have been pretty spotty and blah across the entire hall. There are plenty of opportunities for people who care about basketball to attend and be rowdy and they just aren't in general. I don't think Brass is far off. If a title was high in his list, there is the likes of Duke and UNC that have combined for something like half of the titles in the past decade.... so, I don't think he cares that much that IU has 11 wins or vandy has 7. There have to be other big factors that are being weighed so when folks talk about vandy being a bottom feeder in he sec or drew being a crap coach, I don't think that is big in his mind. He isn't winning a title at IU or vandy, period, unless he stays 2 years at IU and then maybe would compete. Kansas is always a contender but finds a way to crap the bed every year. I skipped like 100 posts so maybe this has been said, but really disappointed in the strength and confidence of smith finishing around the basket. He has as much athleticism as anyone and has a pretty solid 6'7" frame. There is no reason he should be blowing so many layups and dunks and getting stuff so much. I would love for him to be in candy stripes but not holding my breathe. He is an amazing talent and would solve a lot for us and while he might be a great kid, that doesn't mean his needs meet ours in every way and I won't hold that against Archie if we don't get him. He may not be but he brought doubt on himself with who he chose to dance with so you have your opinion and that is what it is, an opinion, you certainly don't know and neither do I nor anyone here. And you should be. There are no definitive facts that this is a dirty recruitment but those rarely exist. You are who you associate yourself/do business with and every other serious contender in this recruitment is filthy filthy filthy.
