Yeah, cool...go ahead and be depressed. Don't celebrate a road win in the B1G. IU did play well for about 3/4 of the game. Minny did go on a streak...a huge streak for 8 minutes. Closing out remains a concern. But, IU beat the Vegas line by a couple and brought home a win. Phin played and gave Xavier a break. He didn't even warm up and dropped in some points and played well enough to help. Xavier play has improved. IU is 9-9 in the B1G and 18-10 overall. Pretty much like what some of us expected and not as good as some hoped. Kopp is doing better. Check out Geronimo's line... And IU isn't turning over the ball a lot. The players seem, finally, to be avoiding their flaws. We all see flaws. But just for a few hours. I will enjoy the game. And I will not dwell on the myriad of things that could be improved. With all of the negative crap going down on this Earth..and with the drumbeat of trying to get our attention by scaring us.. I really like to take a break once in a while and enjoy basketball with our team Indiana. And I believe attitude is important. That is why I like to voice the opinion: Be happy. We won on the road.

Bracketology and Team Resumes

Just gave blood and got a chance on 1st four tickets. Daughter will get them if I win because I'm headed to Ft. Myers Beach for a couple of weeks. There are many choices south, east, north, and downtown Dayton to eat. I would park near the Oregon District on 5th and bar hop...and check menus: Salar (Peruvian) $$$; Franco's (Italian) $$+; Oregon Express (Pizza, Burger); Dublin Pub; Toxic Brewery (no food); check Tripadvisor or Yelp. Coco's $$; Jay's Seafood $$$; Oakwood Club $$$$. Daughter really likes Old Scratch Pizza. If in town for one night...I would start at one end of the Oregon District, and end up at Toxic...and call Uber. They close most of the street on weekends. Parking is available at either end. There's a bunch of college-type eateries on Brown near Stewart...Smash Burger to Jimmy's Ladder. Stewart is between the UD and close to the UD Arena. Dayton and the area really do support and encourage college basketball. There are a bunch of coffee bistros near Wayne. For historic-early American beer try the Carillon Brewery. Note that I'm steering clear of chains. There are more breweries downtown and around. There is a really interesting cocktail/bourbon bar on Jefferson...the Century Bar. Enjoy. -

I see Team C as a definite 1 seed. Any questions? No. Didn't think so.
