Seems like we're a bit 3-happy so far. Or maybe it just feels that way because I'm used to watching the men never shoot 3's.

For some reason, people have short memories when it comes to Purdue. Two years ago, they hung 90+ on UNC and beat Villanova the next day, and there were people seriously thinking they'd go undefeated. Last year they blew out Duke and Gonzaga and everyone lost their minds. Painter has mastered the month of November. We'll see if he ever figures out March.

Midway through the second half, only 20 total fouls called between Kansas and Tennessee. Must be different refs from Purdue-Tennessee last night.

I wouldn't mind seeing him stay. People worry too much about "negative recruiting" and how coaches might use it against us when it comes to player development. Our results over the past 6-7 years are all the ammo coaches need. We aren't going to miss on our top targets because a guy wasn't quite good enough to get drafted at age 19.

January is a long way off. I didn't think we had a prayer of beating them 2 years ago, but we did. I also didn't think we had the fortitude to go into their place and win last year, but we did. Hopefully we can make a 3 point shot by then.

Purdue just doesn't lose non-conference games anymore (at least until March).

Is Jones the guy who had a negative assist to turnover ratio in 3 years at Southern Illinois?

We got left behind back in the 90's when other athletic departments figured out heavily investing in football would benefit their other athletic programs. We felt we were a "basketball school" and therefore it wasn't necessary. Indiana people also tend to have this weird inherent belief that we can be just as good as anyone else even without all the bells and whistles, which played a part in why our basketball renovations took so long to finally come to fruition. Sometimes, Indiana is its own worst enemy.

Coaches have a job to do until they don't.

Even if they don't win it, they'll probably still spend the whole year in the top 5, since they never drop more than 1 or 2 spots after a loss.

I was trying to figure out why somebody with the ACC would think so poorly of us after last season. Maybe it was when we stuffed UNC in a trash can on ESPN.

Won two games by 30+, scored over 100 in one of them and fell three spots. That is bizarre.

We've made 15 threes in five games. Were the Archie teams ever that bad? Doesn't seem possible.

It might catch teams off guard if we use it at the right times, but I could also see it backfiring with our inability to guard the 3 point line or rebound.

Kind of feels like last year's Minnesota game.
