Probably. He did well in bowl game and showed signs. He's a hard downhill runner.

My take for this season. If Debord can call plays consistently and manage the game I think he puts the relatively young offense in a good position to help the defense stay rested. Last year was the worst play calling from Wilson we ever saw. Granted it may come back to Lagow not knowing the playbook that well but still. The play calls were asinine in some instances. Also I was thinking about this today. In recent history the Hoosiers were awful against scrambling QBs. And if I remmeber correctly. We played really well besides 1 game last year against true dual threat guys. This popped into my head thinking about wilson having a true runner with JT and his backups.

Have watched the little video clips on Twitter. Ellison is a big big boy for a freshman. Powerful RB it looks like

Word is that Tronti is giving Ramsey a run for the #2 QB.

Loved Lagow talking about offense from last year. Mentioned with this new offense he's allowed to go through reads and isn't told to key on one player.
-
He hates on IU a lot. I think he's still salty after he was let go for HEP.

No offense to dinardo.... But he's been wrong a lot about players. Lol. Love the guy as he brought my cousin to IU for football scholarship, but from what I'm hearing we have a lot of young OL that seem ready and are actually really impressing coaches.

I tend to since I no longer subscribe to Sirius lol

Classic dakich today focusing on Anotonio Allen arrest and not the Iu football game and iu getting a special edition of the gameday for Thursday night opener.
-
There needs to be a pep rally like Hep used to do. Allen needs to tour every Greek life house and get them to come in. We need them to stay. We need our fans to stick it out and help win games. Too many times are we close or winning at home and people leave. Let's freaking go!! Breakthrough

Quick question. Where's everyone's season tickets if you have them. I'm section 8 not best row since I waited so long (thanks to remodeling of house).

But hey at least people have been talking about IU football on here, two-three years ago it was hit or miss. Lately it's been intriguing and captivating and can only see that going up with Tom Allen as he had me to the point where I wanted to go run through a wall after his press conference 50-26-10 time to breakthrough
-
Okay well then go ahead and expect that lol again this is a message board and I'm discussing my thoughts for this upcoming season. Just like you are. I'm just going off of what coaches are saying he's done and everything I've read about what he's done to improve from his not so stellar first year at IU.....

I'm not saying anything is wrong with that. Where have I said that I don't want the best QB out there?! Two pages ago I said practice and scrimmages will tell. There won't be a tie. From what I hear Lagow is still number one. That could change day one of camp....which I'm fine with. I get the criticism. And I'm not the only one who has said this but it seems like a lot of people put the offensive woes onto this kid who really had a lot of hype out of juco. Yeah okay there were some let downs, but again as others have said WRs dropped the ball, Wilsons play calling was asinine at sometimes and he def didn't have the run support like we all thought he would have last year. If Ramsey is better than Lagow then I'm all for it, but to say eh he was very inconsistent last year and made bone headed decisions....thats going to be a given. I'm excited for a QB battle we had no comp last year really and I loved what Zander brought mentally he just did not have the consistency....even tho I think when he threw the ball last year...he did impress me. I guess I should write something like why are we all so adamant on writing Lagow off after a single season aka first true D1 season.

Failure is not "keeping your job", and going back to last year when people wanted him yanked when he had one bad game. I'm not going back to find certain quotes. I'm not saying people have used the word failure. Next time I will clarify some ensenuations have been along the failure line. People have been critical of a kid who was basically a freshman last year "playing wise" his first full year at a D1 school with a D1 playbook and wordage and they want him gone and not playing? Yes we have a QB battle this year maybe but from what Ive heard is that he has made strides and even has command of the team... Which I don't think he had last year. But yes sorry the word failure has not been used. Ensenuations have been there. Sorry didn't know we were being nit picky. I'll be more careful.
