  1. Way to pick 1 stat and ignore the rest. On THAT fact, according to 247 60+ 5 stars playing CBB this year. So yeah, 3-5 may be high but the more important point is 9-10 roster spots should be made of 4 and 5 stars. 1 5 star per year is not unreasonable at IU. I have never complained on Crean's recruiting until his recent streak of misses. That and the Hartman signing. I don't want UK model either but I'd like recruiting classes to be 1 5 star, 1-2 4 stars, and the very occasional 3 star that fits. Not a string of unrated prospects. That should never happen at Indiana.
  2. The 2nd half of the 2014 class begs to differ. 2015 would be a clear chance to show he's still got it, and he's missed the BIG fish. We are still in the running for some really solid kids but post Blackmon, recruiting has been weak sauce. We hear a lot of big names but we aren't getting these kids. Even the homegrown 2015 in Coleman and Swanigan. I like the upside 3 stars like Holt but we should be filled with primarily 4 stars, with a few 5 stars mixed in. After all, we are Indiana. I think any given IU roster should have 3-5 5 stars, 5-7 4 stars, and about 3 3 stars. 2014 2 5 stars. Yogi and Blackmon 4 4 stars Troy, Stan, Hanner, Rob 4 3 stars. Max, Holt, Devin, Hartman 3 2 or less. April, Priller, Ziesloft (hard to count, but UR out of high school). Also Max may actually be a 2 star or less.
  3. I think this is good for IUBB.  I won't be surprised if he commits.
  4. Ouch, some sore feelings on this one. Oh well, I guess. Sounds like it was a conditional type offer.
  5. 68 rushing attempts. I'd say they had a game plan. 6.6 yard per attempt.
  6. We better come to play next week. Pretty sad display in 2nd half.
  7. Ummm. What???? Those 2 plays back to back?
  8. Coleman's a beast. That's pretty much the story of the 1st half. D is looking really good besides first drive. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Congrats to Rod!!!!!
  10. No offense intended although some implied, but that is the type of recruiting challenges we have lately. Look at that list, seriously??? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. That is great news. Good for CWAT! Maybe he can tell Stevens how great IU is! (Just jokes people, just jokes)
  12. He'll yeah! That was awesome! BOOM
  13. Cody would be great in a keeper type league
  14. Peyton is so darn good. Those Colts teams were god awful on D, and he still won a ton. If the colts had some semblance of a Defense during those years Peyton would have 4-5 superbowls already IMO. Really rooting big for Cody this year!
  15. That is part of why I like him and Shake as much as I do.  They both seem like very high character kids!
  16. We gotta good one here! WTG CKW!
  17. I really like Morgan as well. Hope we still pull him no matter what! I think I'm done worrying about 2015 recruiting for a while though. (Probably a couple days) It's all been a mess. Not even sure who or what to root for, it's just too confusing! I like Kasongo though based on limited footage and intel.
  18. Vijay may need to get his skills up, and the injury won't help matters. I hope all goes well. Good family! Would love to have him at IU if he hones his craft!
  19. Lol, good point. In reality, there are different degrees of optimism. I not optimistic that IU is on a path of elitism, which is ultimately my hope. I want to be a Kansas, Duke, Syracuse, etc........ However, I am optimistic the Chuck hire can still prove to be a very good hire and do great things for us. Maybe not a home run but a solid double or triple. Hope that makes sense.
  20. CB pick today to Notre Dame. Also some CB love for Jalen Coleman to ND.
  21. Yeah that was my inference exactly. If Crean bombs this year, I could see it being the end. I think in THAT case, it may be a full overhaul. I will remain optimistic that we rebound but the thought is out there. I think Chuck is going to be very involved Teaching and Coaching to a degree more than KJ was. I hope Chuck is an upgrade in that regard.
  22. Yeah, I am not judging him yet. But, yes, many other hires come pre-connected to a recruit. Clearly that's not the case here and THAT was my point. He MAY only have 1 year to make an impact, and MAYBE that's the problem.
