  4. Yeah, I like CCR, know their music well, but why the loss of respect? Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

  6. Another CB for Vandy. I'll leave it alone until this weekend and see what transpires. I tend to trust these CB swings. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
  7. I don't think it was. Word probably shouldn't have gotten out but it did. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
  8. Probably the same way he had space for Kasongo/Holt both. :)
  9. 2 more have jumped on the Vanderbilt CB including 247 rep Alex McCarthy. Not looking good. At least I had a moment of recruiting joy. Haha. It's been vanquished! Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
  10. Apparently Meyer CB'd Vanderbilt for Juwan today. Gotta wonder if he liked his Vandy visit and is fulfilling an obligation to us on the OV. Gosh, I hope not, that'd be a blow. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
  11. Beautiful news DJ! Juwan gives me the CWAT vibe. I have always liked this kid and think he'd be a great addition. Now let's hit a home run with Morgan, Milton, and Maker and make me eat my words on recruiting!!!!!!
  12. I think we mostly agree. My concerns are not necessarily for THIS year as we have TOP end talent still. But as Yogi, TW, etc.. depart we need to be replacing them with like talent and not UR/2star/1star type players. If we end up with 2 or 3 4 star types in 2015, I'll be less concerned. The recent trend is just disconcerting for our future. My major grump was we did not adequately replace the void left by NV. We had chances and didn't finish.
  13. 15/25 2013 5 stars are playing in their second year including 4 from UK. Harrison, Harrison, Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee. 5 stars being 1 and done is a misnomer. Top 10 guys are often 1 and done but not generally guys 11-25 with some exceptions.
  14. Exactly my point. If you are lucky enough to get 2 5 stars then take them but the model should be just as we referenced. People think all 5 stars are gone ever year. Not true. Not even close. Over half stay 2 and a portion play 3 (Yogi, Dekker, Dawson, Poythress, Sulaimon, Tarcewzski, Dunn). That's 7/25 5 stars playing into year three and there may be more I didn't check all of them. It is not the UK model taking 5 stars. Is yogi a conventional 5 star? Is Dekker? Is Blackmon? Some/most of these guys need multiple years.
  15. Way to pick 1 stat and ignore the rest. On THAT fact, according to 247 60+ 5 stars playing CBB this year. So yeah, 3-5 may be high but the more important point is 9-10 roster spots should be made of 4 and 5 stars. 1 5 star per year is not unreasonable at IU. I have never complained on Crean's recruiting until his recent streak of misses. That and the Hartman signing. I don't want UK model either but I'd like recruiting classes to be 1 5 star, 1-2 4 stars, and the very occasional 3 star that fits. Not a string of unrated prospects. That should never happen at Indiana.
  16. The 2nd half of the 2014 class begs to differ. 2015 would be a clear chance to show he's still got it, and he's missed the BIG fish. We are still in the running for some really solid kids but post Blackmon, recruiting has been weak sauce. We hear a lot of big names but we aren't getting these kids. Even the homegrown 2015 in Coleman and Swanigan. I like the upside 3 stars like Holt but we should be filled with primarily 4 stars, with a few 5 stars mixed in. After all, we are Indiana. I think any given IU roster should have 3-5 5 stars, 5-7 4 stars, and about 3 3 stars. 2014 2 5 stars. Yogi and Blackmon 4 4 stars Troy, Stan, Hanner, Rob 4 3 stars. Max, Holt, Devin, Hartman 3 2 or less. April, Priller, Ziesloft (hard to count, but UR out of high school). Also Max may actually be a 2 star or less.
  17. I think this is good for IUBB.  I won't be surprised if he commits.
  18. Ouch, some sore feelings on this one. Oh well, I guess. Sounds like it was a conditional type offer.
  19. 68 rushing attempts. I'd say they had a game plan. 6.6 yard per attempt.
  20. We better come to play next week. Pretty sad display in 2nd half.
  21. Ummm. What???? Those 2 plays back to back?
  22. Coleman's a beast. That's pretty much the story of the 1st half. D is looking really good besides first drive. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  23. Congrats to Rod!!!!!
  24. No offense intended although some implied, but that is the type of recruiting challenges we have lately. Look at that list, seriously??? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
