(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU
WayneFleekHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In preparation for his OV........from Hoopniks 32. Thomas BRYANT Thomas Bryant (USA Basketball) Height: 6’-10” Weight: 230 Position: C Wingspan: 7’-5” High School (State): Huntington Prep (WV) Club Team (Affiliation): Team Scan (Nike) Breakdown: In the midst of an effective transition from a “prospect” to a “player” Bryant could end up as one of the most fearsome big men in a class that has a wealth of such players. Bryant has substantial size, can dominate the block at times, and has fine tuned his motor to the point where it rarely quits. Bryant’s size, combined with his athleticism, makes him an elite prospect in the class. His shooting touch is good, as well. Bryant was selected to the 2013 USA Basketball U16 team, which captured a Gold medal in the 2013 FIBA Americas tournament. He did not make the U17 team in 2014, though Hoopniks.com observed him to hold his own against any big man that was also in the camp. -

Let's tie this thing together.... We need OG to hurry up and get to IU so he can dominate the HYPR circuit!!! And then turn into a BA Wing and dominate the B1G. -

(2015) ATH Titus Booker to Wisconsin

If that kid is 3 star talent, I don't even want to know what a 4 star looks like. And 5 star, mind-blown. This kid is super talented and comes across as a good kid too. -

Lol. At least they were up 20 on the road in a conference game. I'll give Crean a pass to pick brain boogers if he can routinely get those results. Haha. -
Word is; he realized that the QB is supposed to throw the ball accurately downfield. Said "nah"

Now I am getting excited about '15 recruiting!!!!!!!!! This would be such an IMPACT move for this class. I wouldn't be as grumpy about not being in play with Swanigan. I love Bryant's competitive fire. He is a bully.... I trust Messmer about right in the middle for CBers. In the words of Jim Carey "So, you are saying there's a chance??????" -

The fact that Missouri is still recruiting him doesn't mean the Bryants are truly interested. -

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

From Brian Snow: Look for Anunoby to potentially be a redshirt candidate because his upside is so big, yet has very little experience playing at a high level both on the grassroots circuit and in high school. If the improvement stays rapid like Anunoby showed during July then this could end up being a very good pickup for the Hoosiers despite him not being one of the more highly rated prospects in the country. One of the more intriguing wings left on the board made his pick, and OG Anunoby is headed to the Big Ten. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Lots of encouraging news BUT Crean and Redshirt???? Yeah right, we know that won't happen. We need OG to develop big time this season. He apparently is pretty raw/inexperienced. -
JaQuan Lyle off the board

For the doubters... If Shake decides against IU tomorrow...... Watch this...... http://youtu.be/yuYjs-YhJa0 It's been a while since we've seen this kind of talent on a highlight video. Keep in mind this is against top competition. Oh and BTW, Thomas Bryant is a BEAST!!!!!! N -

I want to further state that I endorse Shake as option 1a based on character mainly. However, to have a borderline 5 star talent to fall back on is a great option. Especially one that can help this year. Still a ton of IFs but I could get behind this move easily. -

Wow. That is a tremendous comment. 60/40. Wow. I am going to go on record. I think we can make this work. I think his desire to be great/NBA will fuel the fire. Lyle is very good. I watched him at Huntington Prep and AAU Spiece and he is a BIG guard that is very talented. He has good vision and passing too. I know it's AGAINST popular opinion but I welcome this move. Worse case, he spends a Semester at IU and then sayonara if he is acting up. -

Anunoby doesn't move Crystal Ball meter a lot. 4 total picks. All for IU. Find out really soon, I suppose. -

I wonder that too. I've not heard Cameron mentioned by anyone yet? Any story, besides "Covington's Arm Strength"? -

Speaking of Wynn.... I really like him as a player but man this year has been rough. Drops.... Lacking separation on the outside....Fearful of returning punts......He deserved better as a Senior.. Hope he has a great 2nd half. I blame the coaching staff for putting him outside. Should've never left the slot! -

Shoulda been a Hoosier 1 more year! Can't argue with that draft position though -

Kind of what I thought. He will have strength issues in that shoulder for a year or 2 unfortunately. -

I keep wondering the same. Keep 4th option open for Bryant/Maker/Zimmerman -

My vote is we have OG and we don't have Shake. Just going on record! -

I'm with ya rebel. I would have loved to know how they were going to work Kasongo and Holt into the roster. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if these Lyle rumors have legs. Likely just rumors, but I've seen more surprising things. -
