There is no fooling here, Jake has potential. However, I do believe that part of the reason that we have not seen much of Jake recently is due to the fact that our last 4 games (besides last night) (back to the Duke game, which Jake scored 2 pts) have been decided by one possession, where you aren't gonna take out your starters or take a chance playing the end of the bench unless its absolutely necessary. Look, I know he is not a Romeo level contributor, not many are! I'm just saying that he needs some time within the flow of the game to get experience for when we may need him and that is a real possibility on the road in the B1G. How many times over the last couple of years has JMO and/or Davis been in foul trouble early in the game? To add to that, how many games this year has Fitz been a non-factor in a game? If Jake or even Moore can come in to a game in those situations, provide energy, absorb some fouls, play half way recognizable defense, then its a contribution to the team. Last night, he came in was fired up, scored 8 pts, 2 rebs, 1 blk, and 1 to. Was it trash time, yes, did it matter, no, but he came in determined, played hard, and did well.

Yes it is only part but its a big part. That was my experience when I played basketball or any other sport for that matter. Yes, you hone skills and such during practice, but nothing ever compared to the in game experience to me.

Whether they were tired or not he came in with a fire put some points on the board. That is a contribution, whether it’s against central Arkansas or against any B1G team. We are gonna need the young guys on the road in the near future especially when Morgan or Davis get in foul trouble. Moore had a decent showing at PSU and Jake tonight. Nice W! Really think Forester has something to contribute for this team this year, he looks like he’s eager and for the most part completely focused! Exhausted yes, however, I have a totally different feeling in games where we are down a possession or 2 and under 5 min left in a game in most recent years! Yes it is frustrating watching the come from behind, close back and forths knowing that any mistake can lose it all, but the last few games have given me a new found confidence that it’s likely going to be ok and we can still win it. The defensive turn around the past year and a half is almost spectacular! Besides the pUKE game, our defense has kept us in games, and it is refreshing to say the least! Don't worry it will happen! My son (now 6) would mumble out Go Hoosiers at about 20 months old. My 18 mo daughter throws her fists in the air every time I say Go Hoosiers and will occasionally crawl up on my chest and watch a few mins of a game with me. Now if I could get my wife to watch as much as I do, she only likes going to games, she can't stand watching on TV.
