Health is a HUGE concern for me here, coming from a disabled vet with a non-repaired spine injury. Matta has had unsuccessful back surgeries, he has had some therapy that has relieved his pain, but I can tell you one false move or misstep can send you right back to immense pain that can go on for days, weeks, months, or even years. This is something that I have dealt with for over 15 years, I have good years and I have bad. All depends on how cocky I get with my back. Trust me when I say he could be fine now, but with no warning at all he could be needing help to just get dressed again.

I sure as hell hope not!

So the longer I sit and think about this, I keep getting a feeling that maybe Brad and his wife are maybe a little naive. I mean he exploded at butler with the back to back years, gets a job at Boston, has a few good seasons at Boston, has the gm express nothing but love. Maybe they think they are untouchable? They have never experienced what happens to nba coaches after poor results. He could very well be canned in a couple months and maybe they don’t see that as a possibility and part of the reason for turning us down and that awkward speech! Idk just a thought, you would think with the potential money we offered and job security for at least the next 5+ years, it would be a no brainer business decision.

Not wrong, I posted something similar a while ago! He has to see the writing on the wall. Remember it’s a “business” and the higher ups despite their praises can turn on you in an instant. If the Celtics continue to lose like they are he could very well be fired in a couple weeks. It’s a business, management can’t ignore the fan base forever, just like us with CAM apathy set in and a lot of people quit watching. In a non-COVID environment that men’s no butts in seats!

Think about it, the fan base already wants him gone, the team is not playing well, if they don’t make the playoffs or get bounce first round again; he could become unemployed very quickly. Just like others have stated it’s a business, it doesn’t matter if he got a new contract recently, he could still get canned in a couple months.
