That sneak was weird. Even on TV it seemed obvious he got it. Then they said they were reviewing and just went to commercial. I may have missed it, but I don’t think they showed it at all until after the break right when they announced the reversal where it was clear as day he was WAY short.

I really thought Fernando was dead after the first play. Had the pit in my stomach I had when Tyrese was screaming and punching the floor in game 7. To come back after that shot and make the throws that he made…unbelievable. All the obvious national awards and whatnot, but like…IU Athletics Hall of Fame type stuff. Hit was legal too, imo.

I’m a big Sumrall guy. Florida needs to work with him instead of actively sabotaging the program because their money people didn’t like the hire. I have a feeling they’ll be right back on the carousel in 3-4 years though.

Another interesting note based on stats I can find and, imo, one of the most important “basic” stats in football: IU’s offense is #1 in 3rd down conversions, OSU is #2. IU’s defense is 4th in 3rd down stop rate, OSU’s is 2nd. Whoever wins that battle will be a step ahead.

Don’t forget OSU’s run game kinda stinks and our run D rips. Making them predictable would be a massive advantage. I’m far more worried about an Arvell Reese vs. the right side of our OL matchup.

Fisch is solid. He’s really close to having Washington humming, but has had 1 foot out the door since he landed in Seattle. If he brings Demond Williams with him and recruits at the same/similar level to Billy, Florida will be in really good shape really soon. He’s also an alum and knows what he’d be getting himself into there which is part of the battle. Was reading they’re looking at Sumrall too. That guy is an absolute ball coach. Whoever ends up with him will be sitting pretty.

The good thing is, most announcers will say “(School) Transfer” every. single. time. they say a guy’s name. Or at least the guys I listened to last night did.
