Green Bay up 7 with a minute left. They're terrible at the line though

Just saw on twitter: Green Bay's RADIO ANNOUNCER was been ejected by the officials and then let back in a few minutes later. Very weird...

We've had some good luck with our most recent shorter PG! -
5 Reasons Why This IU Team is Different
drock161 replied to BlueDevil's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It amazes me how versatile some of our players are. Max doesn't back down when battling bigs down low but can also swing out and hit a 3. Bryant has had a couple of decent looking drives from the top of the key this year, OG plays lock down defense on anyone. We played a line up of 5 forwards for a decent stretch yesterday with Morgan at the point. A freshman forward played point and didn't look half bad doing it, and that line up went pretty well! Troy's 3 point shot is improving, Hartman is all over the place, and Rojo has a great shot and a pretty good drive. And Yogi is just... well, Yogi! It's really fun seeing all of our players be able to produce from multiple spots. That's part of our success spacing the floor and makes us such a nightmare for other teams to play! -
That is very true.

I disagree, it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. If we can stay physical down low then I like our chances against PU, especially given their shooting woes outside of Mackey.

Hm? Facebook link "ended" hopefully BTN works soon?

Over/under 1.5 injuries for Duke against UNC? How long until Duke just doesn't have a team?

Just saw this tweet. Minny left with 5 scholarship players. Does Rutgers come out with its first Big Ten victory Saturday? [attachment=3606:Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 12.15.59 PM.png]

I don't think it's necessarily asking who specifically is going to fill Yogi's shoes but rather how Crean & Co. can adapt to the Yogi sized hole. Like it's been stated before, next year is the real test to see how much Crean has grown as a coach. Yogi was a special player, he had the ability to score from anywhere as well as distribute the ball as a PG. It would be very difficult to find a player to come in with the same style and skill as Yogi. What they need isn't to try and imitate him but rather mold the style of offense a bit to fit a different type. I've heard people say that Newkirk could be more of a distributer and less of a scorer. The combo of that plus JBJ/Rojo putting up high point volumes could fill that hole. The worst thing I could see happening is Rojo or JBJ stepping onto the court thinking "Ok, I'M the Yogi now!" and forcing themselves to try and copy him, which will result in an uncomfortable offense, bad shots, and many more turnovers.

IUBB Pick'ems Game #31 vs. Maryland

Big game! So is the Crean B1G COY question about will he actually be voted COY or is it one of those "Is IU better than everyone" questions? (because of course we're better than everyone!) -
Notice how he hasn't worn a tie all season. I think he used to tie his ties too tight and it was preventing much needed oxygen from getting to his brain so he could coach clearly! /s Seriously though, I think it was a mixture of feeling his seat get hot and the JBJ injury. I think he started the season knowing that he had to change something but couldn't figure out what, then Blackmon got hurt it sort of clicked. He's been more laid back, lets them rest more, made smarter decisions. It feels like he's thinking smart, not over thinking or letting emotions control his decisions. Related, I think watching this season from the side can help JBJ too. He's seeing this improved defense and how it helps push our offense to a higher level. I know he's lived his whole life around the game and should already know that defense is important, but this could be the different perspective that he needs for it to finally crystalize in his brain. I have no proof/news/insight or anything, just my hope/thought.

Things just got very interesting!

Semi-related, but does anyone else thing it'd be really fun if there was mini tournament after the NCAA tournament is finished where the All-Conference teams play each other? Maybe a small round robin with just the Power 5 First Team All Conference teams, kind of like an all star game.

We Are The Champions IU vs Iowa Post Game Thread

...Unless my understanding of eating is completely off, I think that you're past the point of choking on your food once you're digesting it... Still, crazy game, exciting end! I hope some of the guys take some time to work on free throws this week. A nice, relaxed practice with reps on reps on reps a the free throw line. Let's finish strong this season! -
pUKe is up 10 with 4:30 left in the first. Florida is struggling offensively but is drawing TONS of fouls. Interesting to see how this plays out.

I don't think a single person wants him gone just to do the same thing again. In fact, it's been stated many times on here by many people that the next hire has to be a leap up, not sideways. What I don't agree with is that once the few top coaches retire that all of the more medium ones all of a sudden become superstars. Yes, some may step up and improve their status, but what magically makes Crean a soon-to-be legend just because someone else retired? Were Izzo/Coach K/etc. mediocre before the generation before them left? New talent will always be there to create the challenge, but that doesn't come to someone just because the next best guy leaves.

Why is Booing considered awful?
drock161 replied to weaverswonders6's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well sometimes he's just too far away to touch... /s But actually I agree. Booing was not going to far when we lost the games in Maui, had numerous off the court issues, and had no roster foresight. That's how the fans were showing their displeasure and making their opinion known to the administration. Fred Glass wasn't going to come onto this site (his loss) and read our comments/analysis. A credit for Crean, I don't think anyone is going to be booing him at games unless we have another collapse like after Cody and Vic left. I'm excited to see what happens next year, and especially the year after that. It'll be very telling about the actually state of the program and whether or not Crean has made any improvements. -
Double foul hahaha. This game just turned goofy.

They keep talking about how the ref needs to put his hands in the air to call it a 3, but if they actually looked at the replay it's clearly a 3. Terrible eyes that ref has.
