Not saying I agree but I don't think there is any way Newkirk doesn't start every game the rest of the year. Crean loves him for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I know it's broad but I think worst is 17-14 and best is 19-12 with a first round exit in B1G tourney for an additional loss before selection Sunday.

Looking back on his history. There are less than a handful of season where he didn't have 9 players with more than 10 mpg. This is the same with players over 30 mpg. Very few occurrences: Dwyane Wade, Diener, Yogi, Verdell, Blackmon. Seems to be mostly guards. Oladipo or Zeller never played 30 mpg. Also of note we are at 10 players this year that are 10 mpg or higher. This could be the reason we are extra critical of Crean's already uncommonly high depth of roster usage this year. Just for comparison I went back and looked at Mich St every year since Crean has been at IU. MSU has had 1 player min and as many 3 players in the 30+ mpg each year except this year. Which we all know they are struggling. In those same 9 seasons MSU had mostly a 7-8 man rotation with players averaging between 22-32 mpg. -

How many other teams in the country have their 3 best players averaging 25 min a game? Best player 26 min a game? What is scary is the fact that Newkirk is even on that list. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

We play so many players extended minutes that I don't know when Crean wants to show mercy until MSB hits the floor. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I have been saying since early non conference that DG should be getting most of JN's mins. They both make a couple dumb turnovers a game but DG's offense is much better with higher upside. He is true freshmen and will only get better. Especially with much needed game experience. It is JN's 4th year in college ball counting transfer year. 2nd w/ Crean developing him. Has he hit ceiling or no? If he starts all year this year and next year over DG then I definitely worry about DG transferring. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I would take a handful of HS guys to call an out of bounds play or put in a 2nd half game plan over Crean, but the overall coaching/recruiting/media then no there probably isn't a HS coach that compares. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

ND just won on road with 5 TO's in 1st half and only 1 TO in 2nd half. Great basketball to watch!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Made the prediction with my brother before Maryland game that IU goes 2-4 to finish up JAN. That was me giving them wins at home against Rutgers and Mich St. All losses on the road. I really really want to be wrong about this, but my prediction has started out on point.
