Probably, he could’ve kept the band together this year had he stayed at FAU though. That’s what I don’t understand about him leaving last year. Maybe he doesn’t want the IU job at all and didn’t want to be at FAU this year when the IU job did inevitably open up?

I don't think he would recommend a coach though. As much as I love Fisch, he just kind of goes with the flow and does his job. Like a BOSS!

I feel that Beard is the guy that wants to be in the basketball fishbowl! I don't think he wants to be second fiddle to football. Jmo! I think that's what makes him different from all the other coaches in my mind.

We don't know that to be absolute though either. How do you know RMK didn't tell him about the pinnacle of cbb at IU when they were at TT together? Maybe he always thought IU was a better job than Texas and that was a stepping stone. We just don't know, but one thing we do know is he wants the job and would do well here! I'm not saying he isn't a risk, but I would be willing to risk it for the reward he could reap.
