The passion of the Wichita State fans tonight reminded me of IU fans in better days.   I'm not drunk, I'm just disgusted.

I want to say something about Bob Knight as a color commentator. I don't know if younger fans really appreciate listening to him call a game or not, but when he is talking during a game, he often goes into "teaching mode". It's something that older fans who watched "The Bob Knight Show" and his recorded IU half-time segments will recognize. During those times, he's addressing a general audience who have a wide range of ages and knowledge of the game. He's trying to impart an understanding of the fundamentals of basketball and how the game should be played. Things like defense (!!!), passing, positioning, playing an entire 40 minutes, etc. Yeah, those are things people here know about but the casual weekend fan or the kid in elementary school might not. A lot of those fundamentals are ignored these days in favor of flashy plays that will be shown on SportsCenter. IMO, Knight hasn't "lost it"; he's just a calmer version of the basketball teacher he always was.

Late in the '12-'13 season, I heard from reputable sources that big donors were telling Crean to ease up on practices because the players were exhausted.

Going to actual classes has really messed up UNC's game plan. Makes a player tired.

Now watching Remy and Bluiett in the Xavier-Missouri game. Xavier up 6-2.

I've heard RMK call at least one other game this season. I always enjoy his commentary. He's still a great teacher of the game.

BYU up 52-51 over Purdue now.   Some really good CBB games today.

I saw that Oklahoma was picked to win, too. Hardly an upset.   If UCLA had made their free throws, the Bruins probably would have won that game. Ironic to see an Alford-coached team shooting so poorly from the charity line.

#3 Arizona didn't impress me tonight. Sean Miller is a great recruiter but an average coach.

Arizona leading Kansas St. 62-57 with just under 5 minutes left. Would love to see Arizona lose this one.

I worry about Kasongo finding his way to Bloomington, Indiana. He may end up at the Mall of America instead.
