I haven't seen anybody here saying definitively that they know exactly what is happening with Crean. Maybe I missed those posts.   I have seen people saying what they have heard or read, as well as what they think, feel, or believe will happen. I think ( my opinion only! ) that we are all confused and frustrated about not knowing what is going on with the basketball program we love so much. I propose we show a little kindness to each other as we try to get through this. A little humor helps, too ( also my opinion only ).

Some boosters ( from what I've heard ) are still very impressed with Crean's handling of the academic aspects of the program. He has been strong there. Those boosters tend to want to keep him here regardless of how his teams perform on the court. So I think there is indeed a split between types of boosters.

Isn't that poster with the info on 247 an old friend of BTB? The name sounds familiar.   Edit: To be clear, I'm not trying to call him out regarding his info. I have no idea if he has sources or not.

From what I've read, Glass was vague about Crean's job future. If he did say unequivocally that Crean will be IU's men's basketball coach next season, I would like to know where I can find that statement.   Glass did explain in considerable detail how a Crean buyout would be handled by IU. Very curious that Glass would even discuss that if Crean is here to stay.

When there is so much national speculation about Crean leaving, one would expect Glass or another IU official to confirm that Crean will indeed be IU's coach next season. That hasn't happened.   As far as I know, there is no national speculation that Groce or Painter will be leaving their current positions. Their job security is not analogous to Crean's and requires no official confirmation to silence rumors.

I'm not happy about the way this situation is trending. Another season of unwatchable Crean basketball is more than I can take.

But it seems like so much longer...   #GroundhogDay

The longer this goes on without an announcement, the more likely it is that I go insane.

Donovan to the NBA wouldn't surprise me. Not much to challenge him anymore at his football school. If IU wants him, the administration should move quickly before he gets away.

Maybe Crean is recruiting for a new job at DePaul. They have a 2015 class consisting of 4 forwards. No guards.   Edit: I meant the incoming Class of 2015 recruits at DePaul consists of 4 forwards.

Yes, Crean is Catholic. So are the Harbaughs.

I never felt Alabama was a good fit for Crean. My feeling is he's headed for DePaul or Seton Hall. They are Catholic universities that are similar to Marquette.

Thanks for the info from the game!   No matter what happens with Crean, I think we have a good chance of getting Bryant. The problems at 'Cuse help our cause.

It's a "be true to your school" thing. Booing is not part of being a loyal fan. IMO. You can express your displeasure in other ways like posting Hitler videos making fun of Crean. That always works.
