  1. Not to show u up. Just adding Evan Gordon to the list. I actually thought the number was more than 3 during Crean's tenure, but that was all. I like the grad transfer rule too. Max would have been jettisoned by Beilein, and then what, without the transfer rule? It is easy to forget sometimes that college is supposed to be centered on what is best for the student, and not what is best for the basketball coach.
  2. the one with one 'insider' to our two
  3. But couldn't you really say that about every f*a*n*boy site on the internet including this one? And do we really even come here on a daily basis because we have two 'insiders' here to their one? I think we should be able to admit the reason we come here on a daily basis is mainly because we prefer the smart@sses on this site to the smart@sses over there.
  4. I see, and at that time he was one of our most important guys. I am very interested to see how Archie uses him in coordination with the guys we have left from last year's team with a full year in the system including Thompson, + all the freshmen additions and grad transfers. Davis may not necessarily be a perfect fit, but it seems he has some terrific value. Most likely he is coming off the bench to start the season due to the injury. It just really seems like it will be nice to have a junior big built like a brick shlthouse on next year's young squad whether he comes in off the bench, or works his way back into the starting lineup.
  5. Idk I generally agree with a lot of what you say, and tbh I am going backwards several days through this thread to catch up, so maybe missing a lot of context here replying to this comment as if it it is standing alone on an island, but do you not think that Davis is a very valuable piece on next year's roster even viewing him as somewhat a misfit in Archie's sytem? I mean, he seems like a very nice piece to play pick n roll to me. I think next year's roster is much better with Davis playing a significant role than it is without him. Now I shall continue catching up going backwards through the thread. I expect to feel real stupid soon learning how far out of context my reply is. Whatevs. If so, feel free to laugh/ignore/throw food at it, lobby for a return of the thumbs down button, scream at it, etc.
  6. Nice. Thank you very much. He knows we need 2 shooting guards tho, right?
  7. Don't forget the intriguing grad transfers we appear to be in on.
  8. ^ yes this. people like to create an echo chamber where they can live willfully ignorant to thoughts that might challenge the conclusions they possibly already finalized without all of the information.
  9. The flameouts are the reason the NBA created the rule causing high school students to play ball one year after high school somewhere before declaring for the draft after so many teams signed flameouts to big contracts straight out of high school and lost a lot of money doing that.
  10. If true, it is irresponsible and extremely self-serving for him to out his source like that on a matter everyone in his reading audience knows the langford's want kept private. if true, it seems like he just burned 4 really solid bridges. I wonder if casting a rumor out like that would be worth it to him in the end if that is even true.
  11. ... and where does he say romeo is going?
  12. This recruiting class is such a likeable group.
  13. Just kick back and enjoy the spectacle; It's more fun that way.
  14. Which Loyola bobblehead would you rather own, Sister Jean or Bo Rambler?
  15. He said the college game is garbage and 90% of D1 players aren't even good. I just think the college game is different, and often better than the NBA game in ways. And I also think just about everybody who played D1 ball is pretty good.
  16. No. He says 90% of D1 basketball players aren't even good. That was a great game btw.
  17. I am guessing they are coached that it is OK to bend the rules outside of the official's sight line. I have no quarrel with that. I think he had his man forced to the baseline and he also forced his man to basically set a pick on the ref's view of the action so he was able to move ever so slightly, and the ref could not see it. I thought it was a smart move.
  18. Here is the last bit of attention you get before you pass out. Thank you for your lessons in irony and debate logic and their applications on sports message boards lol! Sweet dreams bro. I appreciate your attempts, but my guess is that when you wake up, you are probably going to want to delete all of your posts.
  19. Easily bottom 1% of D1 basketball when he played, and now pushing 60 years old. He will destroy your argument for you today for just $120.
  20. This man: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/brian-roy-1.html was a walk-on one year at a last place Ivy League school 40 years ago. This man will destroy you today at ball 1-on-1 for $120.
  21. Both of these teams look beatable to me.
  22. I wonder which teams would be going to the Final Four if TV Ted had been allowed to officiate this year.
  23. And the player I mean student I mean kid didn't even blink. That kid has been abused this way before!
