    He really needs 1-2 experienced recruiters. Not sure guyton has that experience needed but maybe. Hell yes to Michael Lewis.

    I really wish he would have gotten the Evansville job so we have a better idea of what he is as a coach. Even if he would have been mediocre there it is still experience that he could bring to the table. If he knocked it out of the park, well then this is a no brainer.

    agreed, I still don't believe it will happen since there are much more qualified candidates and think the media is just pushing the "IU guy" theme since that is who is known to have been interviewed

    @Chris007 if Calbert is the guy, is it safe to say your "inside knowledge" will be much easier to come by?

    I feel the same. But hey, if he can surround him self with a great staff it will go a long way in determining his success.

    you are correct. Painter went 25-5 in his one year at Southern Illinois and made the NCAA's, but of course he lost in the first round :)

    I am still holding out hope that Dolson is waiting for Oats or Musselman to lose this weekend since he has heard they are interested in the job. But it is IUBB which has let me down so many times so that hope is faint

    random dude on twitter say Nate Oats to IU is gaining traction. He knows nothing probably, but I like to think he does! Bring on Nate Oats!

    correct. Entering the portal is not an effective transfer, just puts your name out for schools to contact you.

    No deadlines for entering. As for choosing, just have to choose on time to start classes in the fall.

    Dude, he didn't ask them during the interview. I am putting 2 and 2 together. He comes out and says he has sources who say Scott Drew has interest in the Indiana job. He says this the day after he gets done interviewing Scott. I mean it isn't rocket science

    Well he has done multiple interviews with the entire Drew family over the past 24 hours so I would assume he asked them straight up about it and they told him that Scott would have interest in it.

    Indiana Basketball has fallen off whether the "big" guys say yes or no. Have you watched the last 21 years? HOWEVER, All it takes is the right coach and Indiana will be back. Literally all it takes (yes easier said than done).

    Dammit he is growing on me. I still have strong doubts but man if he were to win here at IU it would be a lot of fun and his players would love him. Please bring in two SOLID recruiters and a coach who has coached in the BIG. I could get on board because you know he loves IU. But it is a huge risk
