    IU vs Maryland MVP

Had to go with Yogi and Agree with rebelhoosier848891…    Yogi not only had an outstanding offensive night, but his defense on Melo was the difference in the game. He held, what has been touted as the best freshman in the Big 10 and possibly a first round NBA draft pick to just 10 points. His control of the offensive flow of the game and his running of the defensive scheme (telling others when to switch from man-to-man to zone, etc) was superb. To me, player of the game is the one person you would be devastated to not have in that particular game and although the entire starting five played phenomenal… I'd say the night would have had a much different outcome without Yogi Ferrell leading our troops to victory! On that note… fantastic performance from JBJ, Hartman, Williams & Johnson. Love seeing Hartman earn that starting position and giving 110 % on the floor. Had some good minutes off the bench for Zeisloft, Stan, Holt and Hoetzel too. GREAT TEAM WIN!!!
  2. It wasn't a dig a Cody - just used him as an example. I'll always be a Cody fan, but like I said, I think he needed more time to develop.  I know he stayed two years. My point is this - I don't think you should make kids stay four years, but maybe two would be an option. I think the NBA has the control. If they make it a culture where kids should be encouraged to stay in school and develop or at the very least stick around for a little while and develop, I think it might help the game on both levels. I understand both arguments though.
  3. I love NBA ball as well, but it is ruining college ball, imo. NBA should make a 2-year rule. You cannot declare unless you have at least 2 years of school under your belt. If you decide to not attend college or leave after one year, you must automatically go to the D-League or oversees - no-one in the NBA before they turn 21. Just my opinion - but these young kids aren't really helping the NBA game either. Oladipo is the exception. I love Cody Zeller, but what has he done this year? I think he could have stayed and bettered himself and maybe he would have more of an impact at the NBA level. Food for thought.

    CTC and Troy

Better yet - I shouldn't have to quit reading these boards - the moderators created boards just for Crean bashing - KEEP the CRAP there. I don't want to read negativity everywhere I look on here! No wonder Crean lashed out on Twitter!!!! Although probably wrong to do - you guys are a pack of wolves!

    CTC and Troy

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I am as big a fan as anyone - even wore my cream & crimson today to show my support, but I'm getting tired of hearing all the negativity on here. I will be signing off and reading these boards no more. If I wanted to hear people shoot IU's coaches and players down, I'd be a Purdue fan. No one is hurting more over these losses than the players and coaching staff. They put their heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into this season, missing countless hours away from their families, etc… We (collectively) should just SHUT UP and support the kids. PERIOD!!!
  6. Haven't talked to him about it, but not to my knowledge. Obviously he has a family passion for the sport. I have a feeling that is why he is holding out… with so many big offers on the table - CTC would be wise to look his way - especially with Fischer leaving. Smits is a hometown kid and he would be tickled to wear the Cream & Crimson.
  7. Know him & the family personally - great kid - VERY talented! CTC needs to give him a serious look! He would LOVE to be a Hoosier!
