  7. Although they're 5-8, this team has really improved and battled some very tough opponents! BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Field Hockey fell in a tight battle on a late goal to No. 5 Louisville, 1-0, on Tuesday at Deborah Tobias Field. After the loss, Indiana falls to 5-8 on the year. KEY MOMENTS • Indiana's defense played at a high-level all game, holding the game to 0-0 through the first three quarters. • Louisville drew back-to-back penalty corners in the 40th minute, Indiana junior goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge made saves on both plays to keep the game scoreless. • Louisville's Julie Kouijzer scored the game's lone goal in the 54th minute off a penalty corner. • Indiana drew a penalty corner in the 56th minute. Graduate student Sarah Charley got a good look and fired a shot on goal, but it was saved. NOTABLES • Loveridge made six saves in the game. • Five different Hoosiers recorded a shot. • Three of Indiana's five shots were on goal. UP NEXT • IU will be back in action Friday, Oct. 13 when they take on No. 3 Iowa at Deborah Tobias Field.
  8. It's a sell out!!! Share: BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Monon Spike will be up for grabs as Indiana and Purdue clash for the first of two matches in a seven-day span on Wednesday evening at Wilkinson Hall in Bloomington (6:00 PM). The Indiana Volleyball team (13-6, 3-3) will look to beat its in-state rivals for the first time since 2012 and recapture the traveling Monon Spike for the first time since 2007. The Hoosiers have never beaten a ranked team at home since opening the doors to Wilkinson Hall in 2019. With a victory, IU would move into fourth place in the Big Ten. A win would also ensure IU's best 20-game start to a regular season since 2010. Purdue comes to Bloomington having won back-to-back contests last week against Iowa and Illinois at home. IU took No. 14 Penn State to five sets on the road before going to Maryland and sweeping the Terrapins. Connor Onion (PxP) and Emily Ehman (Color) will have the call from Wilkinson Hall on the Big Ten Network, set to be broadcasted at 6:00 PM as part of BTN's Wednesday Night Volleyball doubleheader. This match is sold out to the general public with no tickets available at the door. Students and staff with a valid Crimson Card will have access to a limited number of tickets. 9. Can I just say- Blackhawks are tied for first place overall!!! (Probably won’t get to say that the rest of the season)
  10. I’m currently in the Denver airport and have seen 2 IU shirts, no Maryland gear. That’s gotta be a good sign right?
  11. Gipsy Kings- “Bamboleo”- great song
  12. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– It was an exciting Sunday for Indiana Field Hockey as the team climbed back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period to win the game, 3-2, on Sunday in their home opener. Following the win, the Hoosiers' record now stands at 4-5 on the season. KEY MOMENTS • Graduate forward Sarah Charley found the back of the cage in the 11th minute to put Indiana in front 1-0. • James Madison scored two goals within two minutes at the 35th and 36th-minute marks in the third period to go up 2-1 after trailing nearly the entire game to that point. • Junior midfielder Meredith Lee tied the game up at 2-2 with a goal shortly after the start of the fourth period in the 48th minute. The penalty corner helped facilitate Lee's goal with assists being credited to Sarah Charley and Sydney Keld. • Indiana drew a penalty corner with 50 seconds left in the game, the play panned out with senior Meghan Dillon tapping in the game-winning goal as Indiana gained a 3-2 lead in the final seconds. 16. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Volleyball team (10-3, 0-0) begins the 20-game Big Ten gauntlet on Wednesday (September 20th) evening with a visit from Illinois. The match will be the first of four for the Hoosiers broadcasted nationally on the Big Ten Network (8:00 PM) with Connor Onion (PxP) and Elena Shkylar (Color) on the call. IU has won three Big Ten home openers under head coach Steve Aird including the past two in 2021 (Michigan State) and 2022 (Iowa). 17. Gucci Mane would be a huge get (and I'm old, lol). Gucci Mane, an Altanta-based rapper, has received various nominations at the Grammy Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, iHeart Radio Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. In 2015, Vice wrote an article calling Gucci Mane, "the most influential rapper of the last decade." (si.com). Gucci Mane has 55 charted singles, lots of collaborations w/ Doja Cat, Rae Sremmurd (Black Beatles is probably Gucci's most well known song), Migos, etc
  18. Eliah Drinkwitz’s (Missouri coach) press conference was awesome! Calling out the trolls for booing the starting QB.
  19. Juwan signed with Runa Basket in the Russian Basketball Super League 1, the 2nd tier league in Russia (yikes!)
