Ellenson is a 4 and Fischer a 5, I'm guessing they see the floor together. Not sure what their guard situation is like but they will extremely good inside. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

He's being recruited as a wing, so he's actually got great size. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Does anyone have any practice tape or cook hall...
HoosierD replied to DawgBawls's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would actually disagree with the idea that there are a ton of athletic freaks overseas, bc there's actually a ton of guys who are really skilled but cannot stay in the NBA or even get there bc they aren't athletic enough. Take Hulls and Watford for example. Compare them to guys like Archie Goodwin and DJ Stephens from Memphis. Hulls and Watford are way more skilled than either of those 2, were better college players, and are still more skilled to this day, but they don't have anywhere close to the athleticism. Hulls is overseas and Watford is currently on a non-guaranteed contract with a likely possibility of being cut, while Goodwin and Stephens are on rosters. It obviously helps the cause if you are really skilled, bc that is what made Zeller, a guy who has elite athleticism and skills, a top 5 pick. Wiggins as well is also more skilled than Troy, but not even close to as skilled as Jabari Parker. Guess what? Wiggins is drafted ahead of Parker bc of his potential. The more athletic you are, the more potential. Troy will have no problem staying in the NBA when he goes bc there will always be a team seeing the potential, whether he is extremely skilled or not. That's because a kid with really good athleticism and good size for his position has a ton of potential whether they can shoot and dribble or not. The draft is almost entirely on potential, so it's pretty easy to tell when a guy is gonna have a good shot at going pro. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
HoosierD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This is what happens in October. I hate it too bc all I want to do is let this season unfold. It's just one of those topics that worries everyone right now and gets talked about way too much, but once we start the season it will be lost in the excitement until the season is over. Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
HoosierD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think the only way he goes is if he's projected first round. If everyone else is staying and we have a big man coming in to fill that gap, he would see the writing on the wall that he would be the best PG in college basketball, with a whole bunch of talent around him, and a team that fits Crean's style perfect. That's a title contending team, but only if he stays. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
HoosierD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Whoever it is I just hope we only bring in 2 more at the most. It would be nice to keep a lot of the team and bring in 3 guys that are going to produce early and a couple that will produce for 3-4 years. I think there are 3 guys that if they stick around after this season, we will be extremely good no matter who we bring in. That's Yogi, JB, and Troy. Not that those 3 are a shock or anything but with those 3 and the rest of the guys contributing back, we can have a good season now and build on that to have a great one the next. Rebel, I agree we will have to wait and see if he can eventually provide something, but as for now he is in the category of an unheard of recruit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

What he is saying is that he agrees some players need time to develop but they need a better base set of skills and athletic abilities. He's saying they are taking guys like Holt or even though Hanner was highly ranked he's a guy that needed time to develop. They're not just taking in guys that nobody has heard of and turning them into solid B1G players, they're taking solid guys that just aren't getting much national attention. Why didn't you take it to an MU board? Maybe bc there wouldn't be enough ppl there to respond and laugh at it? We provide ourselves with funny stuff, we don't need some hater to come try and stir the pot. Trust me, no IU fan is jealous of MU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers
HoosierD replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Last year Sheehey is better than freshman Rob. They each have different things they do better than the other but as an all around player you gotta give an easy nod to a senior Sheehey. If you turn it around and compare Rob to Gordon and JB to Sheehey, then Rob wins and the latter of the two is much closer. Still, they would each do different things better than the other but for what we needed last year and need this year JB may work better. As an all around player Sheehey may still be more polished because he was a senior, but pure talent JB is the man. I don't think anyone was trying to knock Sheehey or forget what all he did for IU. I think some words were taken wrong and got twisted. I don't think anything that anyone has said is necessarily wrong, but I think if you give Rob 4 years, he will most certainly match what Sheehey did numbers wise. You can sign up to 13 incoming freshman. Meaning you could sign an entirely new team as long as you say you have a plan. So juwan is our 1st and shake would be the 2nd. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
This thread is awesome. I was born into it. My Dad always tells me about the game he took me to when I was little, and he had to hold the back of my shirt to keep me from going over the main level railing when Andrae Patterson had a big time dunk. Guyton was my first favorite player. Was at midnight madness Gordon's freshman year and haven't missed one since. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That's how I see it. There is no science or equation to directly prove either side, so agree to disagree and move on. But he makes sure he gets the last word in and usually does it with a low blow. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
