  1. I agree with you CC Eel, I just think that this is a lousy idea and certainly penalizes the public 1A schools. The problem is with private vs public. I really think this was an initiative aimed at some private schools who can reload with student athletes and maintain a level of excellence. Moving up the perineal favorites was ihsaa's answer. Now, why did we move to class basketball?
  2. Well, let the transfers begin shopping for another school! Better yet, watch the surrounding schools start scouting to pick up some upperclassmen that don't want to be penalized for achieving a level of success.
  3. Return trip to semi state. This is going to be fun. Go Eels.
  4. Clay City won their 4th consecutive sectional championship tonight. Looks like I'll be heading over to Martinsville next Saturday.
  5. Yep! I think Marni had to take Thomas for a refill at the half. He sure liked that popcorn. On a side note, I was under the impression that a milkshake machine was in Cook Hall. (Maybe I imagined this). The Maker brothers could benefit from one of those. Those guys are very lanky.
  6. My seats are on the east side and I'll admit, I was very interested in the boys behind the bench. Usually recruits have their cell phones out, but not these guys. They were completely engaged in the game. Marni was her usual enthusiastic self and was sitting by Thomas. It may have rubbed off on TB as he was up clapping and rooting on the team (when he wasn't gobbling down the popcorn). The brothers Maker were very attentive and applauded during the game. I noticed the brothers stayed in their seats for the half time presentation that honored the seniors from '75. When the recruits left the floor, they walked out in front of the students and received a lot of love from them and the band. I'm probably making too much of it, but I don't see how those big men could not feel WANTED by Hoosier Nation.
  7. They are fun to watch. Really like how hard they play. Aggressive on both ends of the floor and share the ball resulting in balanced scoring. Hope they go deep in the tourney this year.
  8. I'm in agreement with you on this, Hoops. The way I see it, TB has an opportunity at IU that would or could showcase his skills. HE would be The Man in the middle with great perimeter support. Thomas, you'd be a rock star ! What's not to like?
  9. This group of receivers looks very encouraging. Now, what's the scoop on Nate? Any news on his rehab.
  10. Michigan had nothing left in OT. MSU wins it.
  11. Michigan and MSU goes to OT. Now this is what a rival game should be .
  12. VO, is always representing. Would be great if he wins the dunk contest. Good luck, Vic!
  13. Geometry, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin's health crisis. I will include him and his family in my prayers. Stay faithful.
  14. Well darn. We lead the whole game but fail to close out.. Turnovers will bite you every time.
  15. Well darn, some days those shots just don't want to fall. Better tighten up the defensive end of the floor or that hole their digging will be too deep.
  16. Just wondering if JH will be enrolling 2nd semester or wait until next fall. How does this affect eligibility with regard to spring practice? Just curious. Welcome to our Hoosier family, Jordan.
  17. Overtime in Ann Arbor. Illinois let them back in game.
  18. Took a look at our schedule and we play Michigan once at home and Illinois once away. So, I would rather see Michigan win this contest. I like our chances of beating Michigan at home a little better than getting Illinois at their place.
  19. Big win for Iowa in that it was at OSU. Winning on the road will be huge!
  20. LJ got away with a foul on that one.
  21. Noticed your seats for that MSU game are a few rows in front of my seats. This could be a very meaningful game! Great view of the championship banners from there. Enjoy the AH experience
  22. For me, I'm rooting for any team playing Kentucky. The thought of this NBA farm team going undefeated this season is disturbing. Records will be broken. But if another college team dethrones the 1975-76 Hoosiers, please don't let it be them.
  23. Laz, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's condition. I'll be sending up a prayer on her behalf. Be strong and stay faithful.
  24. Thanks for the updates. It's great to see the team get off to such a good start to the season. Seems that they are transitioning into Coach Moren's system easily. I'm hoping to get to the November 30th game when ISU comes to AH.
