  5. Those "experts" don't wear my... HAPPY-TIME CRIMSON COLORED GLASSES!! ROAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
  6. You forgot what may be the best on-court part about Durham: The young fella can really, really finish at the rim. Like a super-creative, herky-jerky, old school Sam Cassell knack for that.
  7. I know I've been in the minority around here; there are many Green fans on the board and I'm not one of them. That having been said, I really enjoyed watching him last year; I just don't see the potential in him that some others do. I like Durham's unknown potential far, far better too.
  8. I'm sure about who was better last year, and I agree with you 100%. I'm sure about the second part too.
  9. Okay; maybe that was last year. Do you really think that DeVonte has more upside than CuJo as a shooter, shot creator, and defender in the future? I don't. There's no upside to a 6'1" shooting guard.
  10. I really don't think he has much upside! I'm kinda a 180 from you; I really enjoyed watching him play last year, but I don't see him getting much run as Archie upgrades the talent level. I see Green as a very undersized two guard with a mediocre handle but a killer competitive attitude, and no potential to be a starting point guard.
  11. Nice player with a great swagger to his game, but not exceptionally talented.
  12. That'll add it all right.
  13. No! They said he plays like Middle School Bob, not like Tim Priller.
  14. New odds for Keion: IU: 20% MSU: 15% NCST: 65% Purdoo: Still zero
  15. Bingo. And, isn't getting a degree which leads to a great job the reason a person goes to college after all?
  16. Guys - if you have been paying close attention to both this board and to what the staff has been saying, you would have a pretty good idea that Devonte Green has been conspicuously absent from any positive side talk during this off-season.
  17. If Archie thought that he would be coming off the bench for four years, or that he would not have the ability to make an impact long before that, he would not have recruited Jake Forrester.
  18. The "6'8" with three 5*s in the same lineup Forrester" was a three star player. The "6'10" featured Forrester" will be a solid 4* by the time he arrives at IU.
  19. I think there is also a real chance that Juwan will have his degree after this year and go, thereby freeing up one ride unexpectedly.
  20. While my power is still on in S Fla I'll try to weigh in: Zander was 5'11, 185. He was never going to realistically last in a game long enough to complete 16 passes. Ramsey does not have a great arm, but of course he throws it better than Zander; that's a low standard. Ramsey is not the quick burst highlight possibility runner that Zander was, but he's not bad and at least I don't fear for his personal safety when he's in the game. Ramsey did a really nice job with his decision making today. Especially for his first game. Hell, for any game. Most importantly, though I'm sure that Coach DeBoard will tailor his offense to the personnel he has, it is very well established that he prefers a combo-running qb to a pure dropback passer. Sooooo...welcome to the Peyton Ramsey era it would seem.
  21. And, in theory, this defense is much less likely to put him on an island guarding without help from the lane packline
  22. If DeRon is out, who comes in the game is more than a little dependent on who we're playing, and on how much weight we can put on CMoore.
  23. Not to be snotty, but ^^this model^^ is not how it works. Expect eight or nine guys to get minutes in any game that matters or is remotely close. Five starters and three or four interchangeable backups. It's "the rotation guys", not who comes in for a specific position. For instance, if Collin starts instead of CuJo, I expect Cujo to be first in, no matter who comes out. If CuJo starts instead of Collin, I expect Collin to be first in, no matter who comes out. That style will not be an absolute, but it will be generally true. I expect the rotation guys to be: RoJo, Juwan, DeRon, Collin, Josh, CuJo, Justin, and either DeVonte or Al, and either Freddie or Clifton. That's nine, and that'll about do it.
