I like his chances to stay on the practice squad. Special teams need some building. He has 0 chance as a receiver on the Bears.
-
It is all about relationships and he built them for the most part.

I may be biased, but I think Latimer puts up the best numbers of any rookie WR this year. Dude is gonna be a 2 at Denver with Manning as his QB. He listens. He catches. He will get the ball. Best situation possible for him.
-
Lol, goes from IU QBs to Peyton Manning... Lucky dude.
-
Holy Shit!!!

My favorite thing about Latimer is the Scout site. Albers on Twitter yesterday put out a pay only article on "What the experts are saying his draft status and more". Lol, Albers has usefulness, but come on dude. You are making people pay for you to write about other's pay only info. Too funny.

LHP Kyle Hart Injury Report
mdn82 replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Other Indiana Hoosiers Athletics
I think they say 18 months to be at 100%. Usually pitchers are pitching at the end of the year but it is a strict pitch count. Could play a part in it too. -

Unfortunately being a Cubs fan I have seen this a bit. They are more cautious with younger kids coming back. They always give a timeline of 12 months to 18 months. Usually they can start tossing a ball at 6 months to build up strength. I am no doctor, but this is all too frequent anymore. I don't know strength and conditioning is causing this to occur more? Hopefully this allows him to come back stronger and have a chance as a prospect. -

Damn. UCL = Tommy John. -
You could have added they went pretty far the year before as well.

I enjoyed the Branch McCracken camps when I was a kid. Obviously he wasn't around, but they stayed true to what he taught.

That is fine. You can. We just prefer not to have a thread for every time someone has a new idea. If you are going to buy him a book can I suggest the basic fundamentals of basketball?
-
I am going to merge this, so we can keep threads together….

No you are good my man. I think we are on the same page, just hard to relay through the computer. I just wanted to make sure.

Honestly, I couldn't bet on any coach to win a title over the next 10 years. Including this year. So much can happen. My issues with Crean go beyond thinking he can or cannot win a title. That is one of the most difficult things to ever speculate on. I am a gambler at times. I know that the highest odds you will ever see someone getting going into the tourney is around 20-25% after they have data backing up their team. Even then, you see people going against them. My issues with Crean come down to his team's value of the ball. Part of that is the offense and style we play in. But, when you give up so many possessions a game, you are putting yourself behind the 8-ball without doing anything. To me, I would have to take a serious look at what as a team we are trying to do.

The same was said about the '09 class after 2 years. Creek hadn't played due to injuries. Watford was very similar to Jeremy, but scored more due to necessity. Most thought Jordy was too small to be a player at IU. I am not saying this class will be that, but I think any class that has Yogi on it, can't be considered a disappointment. This is a 4 year class. If players like Hanner get their head straight, and go to the gym, people's perception will change in a hurry.

There isn't a team in America that if you gave them 10 years, probability would have them higher at a 10% chance. That is why I never understand that argument. I don't think everyone understands how little of a chance you begin with ever if you are the best team in America.
-
Whatever fits your cause I guess. Crean is underwhelming, but has done more at a younger age than Alford.

Much of my frustration as a fan was during the season before Zeller got here. That was really the first year in the half court I noticed issues. Those issues were the source of many debates over the last 4 years. Crean's offense is built for players to make plays. The problem with that premise at times you have players trying to do too much trying to improve their stock. If you don't have a group that is very smart, and tight you get what you got this year for us. Defensively, I think he tries over thinking things. The UM game this year is what happens when the stars align. You give them something they have never seen. But why do we always have to do that on that end? Why can't we get our players to understand assignments and what to do when different situations happen? Both ends of the court are like a Technical Calculus class. Hard. Very hard. You can pass, but you won't do great unless the stars align. At the offensive end we must score in the first 5-10 seconds. If not there is a lot of confusion when there is a defender in front of the offensive player. I would personally prefer Crean to run some form of the flex we ran at UM. That was beautiful. I don't think we will have the basketball IQ on a consistent enough level to run a motion. If we do, then it is on Crean confusing them. I think we have the athleticism to dive to the rim, while having the shooters pop out typically. We don't use our bigs in the post. I like getting smart bigs who could get the ball at the free throw line and have people cut off of that. I just like having options that have players getting to the rim. It just opens up so much without dribbling nonstop. I am of the mind that the leash is shorter than we expected heading into next year. I also think it would be best for Crean for us to not make the NIT. If we have another bad outing after how this season went/ended, it wouldn't be good for him.

I don't have much faith in next year either based on your concerns, but I think he has earned next year.

This is where I am.

In after the lock bitches!!!

Lol.

We actually have let a lot more bashing go than a lot of other places. We just don't allow name calling of anyone including the players or staff. If his offense sucks because….. That is fine. "Tom Crean is a snake oil salesman"… No bueno. We are pretty consistent on that. Those type of comments only lead to trouble. They are intended for the sole purpose of pissing people off. They add nothing to the board. Those are the only things we take issues with. Anything else is fair game to dissect.

Meaningless bump just to mess with Reb. Hey Reb, you suck at this censorship thing lol.
