  1. Plus you do realize the B1G conference goes back further than Crean's tenure right? Especially when we are discussing how the strength of the conference usually pulls the SOS up.
  2. Lmao ok... 2012, 2011, 2010? The previous years were dependent on doing something in the pre season tournaments, much like this last year. You know like when we should have played Kansas instead of UNLV which would have helped our SOS immensely. But hey I am sure you already knew all of that.
  3. SMH... I was going to be a Purdue Person, but I have as good a chance of getting through as your 9th grade teacher next year. Did you ever have a Statistics class in middle school? What did they say about small sample sizes? Go back to 2012 and before. Add that to your list. Get back with me. Sorry the B1G is traditionally stronger than your childhood memories of the last 3 years. Why don't you ask your idol Cal where he sits on this topic. I am sure he will be far more receptive.
  4. Probably not too much longer. He is 57. He is no Coach K. He won't last to 65.
  5. Hell no and you could only hope.
  6. This has been our biggest issue. These "$100,000" home games that are no more than a pickup. We are typically in the top 30 SOS because of the B1G. So, not sure why we want to create a murderers row for nothing more than fan enjoyment? You still have to win to get into the tournament. It's great playing a top 5 SOS and going 21-9. Getting that 7 seed. Or going 24-6 with a top 30 SOS and getting a 4 seed...
  7. This all day long. The only game I see realistically coming back when Calipari quits UK in the next couple of years. I don't see us doing home and home with every top team in the country much to ex-Hoosier's chagrin. Only one team can claim a schedule like the one he proposed. It works for MSU. It works for them. At this point it doesn't work for the Dukes, Kentucky, or Kansas of the world. They a play a handful of top games then schedule cupcakes.
  8. Worst memory of being a Hoosier fan on the court.
  9. Even without scheduling a top 100 non conference game our SOS would be top 50. With the 4 or 5 we get annually we have a top 30 SOS annually. Even when teams we scheduled aren't what they are historically we still easily have top 50 SOS. I would like us to maintain 20-30 based on how Crean practices if we are being real. Although this isn't a video game where we can play top 10 every game. As much fun as NCAA Basketball used to be with that happening for PS3...
  10. Thank god you aren't scheduling our games.
  11. Anytime you can play a power 5 team non conference it is a good game to schedule. Not sure why you could possibly say otherwise.
  12. That was a damn good team. Still shocked that team didn't win a title.
  13. Ok? We weren't good either?
  14. So you are comparing that to a historically terrible non conference schedule which started this discussion?
  15. The year we played SMU, Gtown, Louisville, Pitt, and Butler? 2014-15?
  16. RIP Coach Pat
  17. Man that would give Miles something to tweet about.
  18. Both Victor and Ersan had a higher PER than Serge last year. Victor's numbers at the 2 guard are far better than what OKC 2 guards put up last year. Let's hope it's a good deal for both, but it looks good from OKC's side.
  19. Apparently trying to create competition for Gordon? I have no idea...
  20. Lebron would have guarded 2s or 3s in the 90s. Nothing wrong with that. Would have kept him out of foul trouble.
  21. He was not one of the best defenders coming in. He has grown leaps and bounds in that area. Same as his shot. He has grown a bunch which is impressive because he was 1000 times better than Jordan at 18. The one thing that hurts him IMO is coming out at 18 so he has the mileage he does at his age. So he can't play every game or play as intense as he did at 27. That isn't a knock. I am just splitting hairs, but Jordan dominated regularly. Where Lebron has stretches. He is one of the top players of all time. He has a chance depending how much his body holds up. That is one big dude with mileage. With Jordan's accolades at both ends of the floor and what he did to the league just makes him the best for me. Lebron may have the better physical God given talent, but he hasn't had the career Jordan had.
  22. Just because he can doesn't mean he does it as good.
  23. I can understand that from you. You were not able to watch Jordan in his prime. That's fine. You just won't hear many people agree with you that were able to actually watch both. Jordan did it at both ends of the floor guarding and dominating the other teams best player every night. Not when he chose. That's without his ages 30-33 seasons everyone still feels the way they do. You differ because you didn't see it.
  24. Hopefully he keeps doing what he is doing for the next 5 years. He will be in the conversation with Jordan. A couple MVPs while being first team all defense will go a long way while playing 82.
  25. 9 time all defense first team and retired with the highest scoring average in NBA history.
