We are a few plays away from really being dominant in this game... a few made shots, a few less bad shots, a few more passes at the right moment and this game would be won pulling away instead of us beign nervous with 4 minutes to go if we can hold on or not.... That Franklin drive is the perfect example.... Race is leading us today, drive and dish to him, he was calling for it... let him finish it!

Simple Answer is YES Yes we are better than last year. And I am one who thinks it isn't just marginally... I think we are significantly better than last year. The Top 5 seed in the tournament, playing against a Play In 12 seed type team. As somebody just mentioned this is the first time in a long time I can watch and not dislike somebody on the floor (now that may very well change as the season goes on LOL). I was a HUGE DGreen supporter and that is a big loss with nobody really going to be able to fill that on the court.... however we are better without him off the court according to what many say.... The freshmen are exciting after 1 game, considering our Mr Basketball gave us the least impact. I know everybody says it was Tennessee Tech and that they hung with us for 30 minutes... and I know some will not like this argument to that because they think we shold be foot on the gas 100% of the time, but it is competitive nature to not go all out when up 30 points... or even to start a game against a team you know you are(should) beat by 30 points.... There are a LOT of really good basketball players in the country, and only a small fraction of them can play D1 basketball... no they shouldn't be a threat to IU but they alos aren't a bunch of scrubs picked up at the local YMCA before the game.... they have dedicated most of their life to getting better as well. But to me the biggest reason we are going to be so much better is that we were still young, and now we are not.... Durham has improved every year and his SR year will be his best, TJD is getting big hype, Rob, Race, & Jerome finally healthy and will be big contributors... Franklin showed flashes last year and will be more consistent this year.... Brunk can do some good things, and he will be a smart calming factor when he is on the floor.

Good point, I didn't even think about that aspect while I was reading the comments.... so 8 includes the 4 freshman that he doesn't see why wouldn't see the floor? I am sure your list of 8 (possibly 9) is the real deal...

To me it sounds like he says 8 guys + the Freshmen.... so basically everybody plays? 12 man rotation? Obviously that won't be the case, but from his coach speak that is the way I took it.

Nobody made any type of assertion that their lives mean more or less.... That's you trying to find a way to argue your narrative. The FACTS of the matter are that there is a difference between older or immuno compromised people dying from a new virus vs younger otherwise healthy people. There obviously need to be precautions... but the precautions taken by 1 group aren't the same as need to be taken by the other. The amount of PANIC in the streets would be much different as well.... Do you see people in Indiana boarding up and stocking up during Hurricane season? NO... but the people in Florida or on the East Coast do.... different precautions for different risks. That is not currently ascertainable... nobody has any idea yet what the fatality rate is... If I was a betting man I would say it is much closer to the .03% - .1% range than this made up number of 3%

Yes... as would most people. If HEALTHY 18 year olds were dying this would signify a very BIG difference vs what is actually happening.

No difference in knowing the risks that are involved and making that decision based on the risk vs reward thought process. Your initial question was "Did they assume risk by coming into work to have money to eat?" The answer to that question is YES

How is it different? It is a level of risk that you are well aware of. If I want to go to a sporting event I know that I know that 1 of the 50,000 there may come into contact with me and may have the Virus.... Your employees go to work they know there is potential there that 1 of the other 5 employees may have the virus or may have been to a sporting event. If I am willing to take the risk of going ANYWHERE then I know the risk is not only where I am going but it is everywhere that anybody else there has been going. If you are so worried about your employees not being able to eat... give them all paid time off until the pandemic has passed...

You have been saying this same thing in every thread... we get it... And to answer your question YES they assumed the risk by not self-quarantining just as somebody else did by going to a sporting event or out to eat at a restaurant....
