No. A school is free to rescind a scholarship offer at any time. They rarely do because of how bad it would look. But in the case of a coaching change, it’s sort of expected that all bets are off.

Yes. Combined. Also, this is a coach ranking, not a school ranking. So, it will include Otz's time at UNLV and South Dakota St. for example. It's not a perfect picture into a coach's ability, but like you said, there are some trends to be gleaned.

Rabby's made his bed with them and he's suffering the consequences now. Totally frozen out of the athletic department source-wise. He still gets some good recruiting info because of his ties to the in-state AAU and HS circuit. He's toast otherwise and the frustration is starting to show on his board.

Thanks for the welcome. Wanted to share some data I put together using Torvik. Here are the rankings for a bunch of the coaches I've seen mentioned for the IU job among *active* coaches across 3 time frames: since the 07-08 season (as far back as Torvik goes), since the 21-22 season (NIL era, also since Woodson was hired) and this season. Lots of caveats apply: this is just team efficiency and doesn't take into account tournament success for example. Also, I pulled this data across the past week or so and the rankings may have shifted very slightly.

Bingo. It's not established as a 501(c)3 and Eric is almost certainly paying himself a nice salary to "administer" the collective. It's gross.
