This is true but Goodman putting this out makes me think it's more agent peddled stuff. We know DeVries is closely linked to Iowa. The clock is ticking now. Could very well be leverage to get higher salary and/or better NIL guarantees from Iowa. Could definitely be wrong. DeVries wouldn't be a terrible hire for IU.

I don't think private planes have to file flight plans until just before the flight. I would imagine that to be the case here.

IF it's Brad Stevens, I'll be thrilled. But a big part of me just wants to watch the collective college basketball media eat **it. Goodman and the rest of Field of 68, Sleepers, Rabjohns, and everyone else covering the sport went from "You gotta call Brad and make him say no" to "Of course Brad Stevens would never take the Indiana job and IU fans are morons for thinking it was ever possible" real quick. God let it happen. It would be so sweet.

Collins is a really, really good coach and Northwestern is a really, really hard job. Not just admissions, but support, NIL, etc. Taking NW to a tournament is akin to working a miracle. He wouldn't be a sexy hire, but leagues better than Brownell.

If RTZ's info is legit, that's amazing. I don't know if it is or not. But I do know that I'd prefer for live in a fantasy world where BS is a possibility for a couple more days than one where Brad Brownell is the IU men's basketball coach. I'm just trying to have fun with it.

I read this as Tucker DeVries is entering the portal so his dad is definitely leaving WVU. Does he got to Iowa then and McCollum goes to IU? Oh...Bryson Tucker is in the portal. Gotcha.

About the only thing I can glean from all of this is that IU signing a coach yesterday would explain all of the craziness here and on twitter today. Doesn't point in the direction of any coach in particular, but would explain the uptick in "chatter". What a rollercoaster...

I think the idea is when the writers were deciding how to end the show, they only had one ending in mind and stuck to that one idea for the whole 9 year run of the show. Analogous to SD always wanting Brad and now getting him I guess.
