I know people have a lot of bad feelings about the packline but with the portal I feel like D-Rock can recruit players/bring players with him who buy into that and he knows exactly what he wants. I feel with Archie he didn’t really have an identity with who he was recruiting except to recruit Indiana hard and that wasn’t necessarily smart when you run a specific defense.

He took a 9 win team to 19 wins without his best player for 24 of the 32 games played, $3m less in NIL than IU and that’s not even including the budget for the basketball program (which IU spent $17m and was in top 5 in college basketball, and let’s be honest players aren’t truly begging to play in West Virginia.

Well it looks like our pipeline will be SoCal academy Instead of Montverde Academy. Two of his three recruits for 2025 are from there. I wonder how many of those three he wants to bring m/how many of them want to come to IU. I just don’t know if he’s going to take 5 freshman or not. Or 6 if he can somehow work his magic on Mullins.
