I don't like Dakich any more than the next guy. But ... too much of what he says turns out to be true. I don't listen to his radio shows anymore, that lasted about two weeks before I couldn't stand any more. Now if I take out Dakich from what I said, people I know personally in Bloomington say the same thing but they are not sources and I am not an expert. LOL

On Twitter Dakich has always claimed his IU sources have told him, the team last year did not hesitate getting out in town after a loss or a win.

I am thinking "along with" ... Walker shot 35% from 3 last year hitting 36 of them.

Actually on X they are becoming even dumber. They point out that Arizona lost to the PUkes therefore Baso must be dog meat and will not make a difference at IU. They still speak as if they won a banner. They still speak as if Edey is back next year. They still speak as if they have roster spots open. They still speak as if they are the "gods of the big ten conference" ... Speaking is not their strong suit as usual.

@Chris007 Upgrading talent may make all the difference in the world, if they only had some coaching. Yet on the other side of that statement that I can't figure out. I complain about coaching then two back to back B1G FOY's, two center's in a row getting NBA drafted ... some coaching has to be going on for that to happen. Woodson said from day one ... he would recruit talent and even recruit over people for the best talent. The problem with that is, as we all know .... sometimes all that talent doesn't fit the team puzzle for success. If we could just hit shots, defend the 3, hit foul shots, and leave the lane open .... who knows what would happen.

And .... if not them, then who should have been signed, is a question I ask people. I like all 3. I think Rice and Carlyle is better than Gallo and a healthy turnover machine XJ. Don't overlook the fact that Rice and Carlyle were All-Pac12 and one FOY.

For some reason I can't wrap my brain around Reneau playing center full time. He definitely won't now that Baso is signed. Strange there wasn't more news/words/texts on Conwell and IU and the kid from Eville would rather be a pro somewhere. I think IU has the pieces to play 4 out 1 in, even with Baso and Reneau but I doubt that Woodson does that too much.

LOL ... what that wouldn't do to IU's guard situation. Competition would be fierce in practice for playing time. How many total minutes are available in a game? 200 .... some are not going to play as much as they want.

Hey ... relax (j/k) ... "we just have to make shots" You would think with Baso inside, he will not need help with double teaming where our wings or guards drop off their man to help and then watch their man drain one three after another. So I recommend on a daily basis Woodson show film of UCONN defending the PUkes since he cannot seem to teach what needs to be done. Maybe the team is more 'visual' and can learn how to do it by watching UCONN defend the 3 and limiting the PUkes only 7 three point shots the whole game.

Good point. I am not sure what an LOI even does anymore in the 'Wild West' of college athletics.

I think those deals are finalized and announced in July if I remember right.
