It might be the hatred I have for all things PUke ... but when the s*** was hitting the fan he seemed to have that all too familiar NCAA deer in the headlights look. He had no answer and there may have not been one for UCONN's defensive strategy. I watched with pleasure of course. :)

When RMK was hired one of the first things he did was let the Athletic Dept know, some ex players and donors were not invited anywhere near his basketball program. If I am not mistaken, I believe one of those players was Bobby Leonard from the '53 Championship team.

Mostly likely IU would not had a full squad to play. Gallo was scheduled for surgery, I doubt that Ware wanted to take a chance on injury to play in the NIT with his draft status. Two others were transferring and IU had a coach that was just tired of this team and this season. I am only guessing but most were just tired of the season and getting their ***** kicked, especially after that last Nebraska blowout. A coach doesn't get a 2nd T and kicked out of the game with ~4 minutes to go, if you are interested in coaching after that game in the NIT.

I cannot remember what year it was but it was when RMK was coaching at IU. The NCAA did an anonymous survey of college basketball and football officials ... 11% of them stated they bet on the games they were on reffing.

I am thinking it was more along the lines of Woodson telling him with effort and his coaching, NBA background he can get him to B1G Freshman of the Year, use him like Schifinio with his proof with improvement in MbBako, Reneau. But ... he will have to earn his starting spot. As much as I want a different coach you cannot deny the fact back to back FOYs, last two centers to the NBA .... stressing more individual development than team results. Of course they would show Tucker how he fits in the IU offense (I know I know) ... Yet he is 18 this summer, needs strength and a summer of getting pounded B1G style in pickup games. I don't care how he is ranked and Mickey D's stuff ... he is no way a one and done player.

Myles Rice is a player that IU needs and I hope gets. How did he ever end up at Wazzu? I've been to football games there so I know a little about the area. I watched Wazzu when Sampson coached there. IMO a great get and hopefully one that could stay at least two and hopefully three years. Another day to keep refreshing Twitter (X) and BTB all day for an announcement. Assuming or not, you can bet that MR, MM and Gallo are starting. That's 3 for sure. And any portal player is not coming to come off the bench to play even 25 minutes a game. He has backed himself into a corner as far as making many changes to his roster.

I have always felt and still feel ... IF May was not hired at IU they would feel the repercussions for decades. Yet to be seen of course but .... my gut feeling is usually right.
