The symbolism of playing golf at 8am on a Sunday morning? As opposed to what? Playing phone tag with a recruit? If I was a recruit and received a call at 8am on a Sunday morning I’d tell whoever called me to lose my number on the spot. Don’t overthink this one, guy.

Who is having a private banquet at 8am on a Sunday morning the night after the F4 lol? Mike Woodson played golf this morning with a massive NIL facilitator, you don’t think they’re talking and back channeling recruits????

Then why bring up the lack of a complete roster? It’s April 7th, the current season isn’t even over. More than half of the 360 some D1 teams have incomplete rosters on this date. There’s over 1000 players in the portal still growing by the day. It’s the new nature of this sport. I don’t get tying Woodson with golfing this morning to that fact. We had 9 players on the roster at this date last year, 2 more than what it is this year.

You do understand that there are literally over 500 D1 head and assistant coaches in Phoenix right now for the annual NABC convention correct, Mike Woodson included? Mike Woodson playing golf this morning is a literal non-starter, that is unless you have an agenda to push.

I’m not doing anything other than providing context. Anyone who thinks Woodson neglected his coaching duties by golfing this morning fail to understand that: a) it’s a recruiting dead period b) he’s at a national coaching convention with 5,000 other coaches c) playing a 4 hour round at 8am on a Sunday with A and B in play has zero impact on a season that starts 7 months from now. Either that are posters are being purposely obtuse, which at this point, is starting to make more sense.

He’s definitely a mouthpiece for somebody on the staff. Didn’t appreciate his tone and abrasive nature on here, but he’s definitely been right about way more things than anybody else, especially in regards to things posted by Trilly, etc that were patently false.

I absolutely fail to see how golfing on a Sunday morning in April (while the current season is still ongoing) is tied to the success/failure of a season that starts 7 months from now. During a dead recruiting week no less. And if you don’t care about portal success, why go out of your way to try and bring optics into a situation that doesn’t exist in regards to recruiting, that again aren’t in play because it is a dead recruiting week? Again, nobody likes a whiner.

I’m not picking fights with anybody, I’m simply pointing out hypocrisy when I see it. Doesn’t bother me at all that some want Woodson fired, I would have supported a coaching change this offseason had one been made. I just find it funny that you threw shade at Woodson for golfing and not recruiting (during a dead period) in one post and in another post admit you actually don’t even care who Woodson recruits. Nobody likes a whiner.

Right. Can’t recruit during a dead week. This week is a dead week.

Nope and if it happens again I will wish him well in all his future endeavors. But that won’t happen because he played golf at a coaching convention this morning.

Time will tell, but that certainly isn’t a foregone conclusion.
