Yup. Completely botching that last 30 seconds against Maryland + Mgbako missing a layup and seconds later an open 3 vs UCLA. Changes the entire complexion of the season.

bubble teams have picked up some strong wins over the last 72 hours. I’m hopeful that 10-10 in conference gets us into Dayton…but it’s gonna be close.

PSU did a good job defending the Gallo/Ballo pick n roll last night. That PSU center is long enough that the double team off the pick was really disruptive. Need to keep confidently taking open threes that present themselves off that action if teams keep doing it

Oh I agree with you 100%. He does not impact winning and it seems the staff understands that now—hence why he sat the last 9 minutes last night (we immediately went on a run). There are some here who put all the blame for MM’s play on Woody. He can make tough shots, but doesn’t actually even shoot it well enough from 3 (32%) to warrant being out there given his defensive liabilities. Kid thought he was gonna be a one-and-done but in two years is essentially the same player as when he came in. Mack is the guy I’m most hopeful transfers out!!

They’ve always been there. But as it’s been for much of the last eight years, they can play at most 8-10 good minutes at a time. Middle of the road power conference team USC and UCLA each crushed PSU at home by 25 earlier this month
