    100% Nobody knew. He tried for the whales but was told pretty quickly they weren’t interested. DDV probably became a real option only in the last 2-3 days and he changed up his plans and put the full court press. I assume the firm did the pre-work on him beforehand.

    You could argue we did better than Louisville did last cycle, and just as good as UK when they pulled Pope. This is the landscape of the sport now. Sitting P5 coaches don’t need to leave their programs as often.

    I’m so thrilled with this. He’s set up to succeed immediately with talent he can bring over, but it just feels good to have an actual CBB coach again. Someone who loves this sport like we all do.

    How good does it feel to have a coach who purposefully is recruiting guys that fit his style? If DDV wants these guys, who are we to question it. Gone are the days of our coach sitting in the cigar lounge and waiting for five stars to fall into his lap.
