    IU needs to hire a coach who is a student of the game, loves to teach it, has won championships everywhere including overseas, has adapted to the changes of the game and Players over the last 40 years, and is already in the HOF.

    I think he and his sorority DPU wife couldn’t get out of Indiana fast enough away from the rubes. He’ll be an NBA lifer. Easier gig. Not as much pressure or expectations. Always a multi million dollar gig around the corner. Then front office.

    So no answer? I think this guy has done wonders with his image of being a Super Coach. He’s ok, but not Back up the Brinks truck ok. If IU hires him, he’ll prolly be fired in 5 years too.

    NBA coaches are a dime a dozen. He hasn’t lit the NBA on fire. The DePauw guy had a good two year run in a weak conference. Is that worth 8 mil a year? Cali numbers? Cmon. what, exactly, makes him a Super Coach?

    I believe Stevens is overrated and certainly not worth the numbers being thrown around. I think it’ll be someone like beard or musselman. Maybe Altman or the guy at Loyola.
