I brought up the Pearl post game comments about his guards earlier. But he also made a comment that if he’s seriously the candidate would be major shots fired at Woodson and staff imo. I don’t even think we’ll land Stevens. Certainly hopeful for a name bigger than Brownell. I’d rather have a younger guy like McCollum or Huss over that. So no. But you and the others are the parents that when their kid has a dream and says they want to be a professional athlete rather than just cheering them on in their little league game you tell them their dream is stupid and they’ll never make it that far.

The worst type of person is the one that throws shade or hate at anyone for believing in something. Who cares if people want to keep their BS dream alive? I can’t think of any aspect of my life where a decent person you’d be so adamant to shoot down someone’s beliefs no matter how extreme or far fetched they might be. Agents telling teams his player is getting interest from so and so to drive up the price. In college coaching they’re doing the same thing whether to get raises or new better paying jobs. It’s quite literally the job of an agent.

(Elite guard, second guard to spread floor, strong big). I realize this is what it takes to make a FF run but he hasn’t duplicated it. I do think Beard has an overall hire ceiling and floor but obviously the baggage Crean didn’t have.

I agree to an extent. But couldn’t it be looked like IU is similar to Alabama football as far as resources go. Not the recent success. And DeBoer left UW who he had rolling, in a strong conference but lacked quite the resources that Alabama could offer. It seems to happen more in football then it does in basketball.

Norman has a direct contact into the process, but that contact hasn’t told him anything. He speculates what is said to him and has said IU won’t get a big name, even though he hasn’t been told that. Also unusual in this instance, is that this direct person in the process hasn’t told him to be quiet. chris, gp and iufb still suggest Stevens hasn’t said no and neither has anyone else for that matter. oh and DMV is still pushing Mark Turgeon and says he’s 1 of 6 finalist.
