Honestly I think MR is better suited for the 4 and we get an athletic big who can shoot at the 5. Will take the pressure off MR of having to guard the opposing 7 footers.........

Why not a young Shaka Smart? 375-171 record and now 10-10 in NCAA, Final 4 with VCU and is still in his 40’s. Emotional, good X’s and O’s and his teams are always good shooters and love to turn teams over with speed! He is underrated in my opinion, I know Texas didn’t work out but has demonstrated excellence at basketball first schools.

That 5'8" size scares me a little when it comes to playing the bigger guards in the B10

Man, Jay Wright doesn’t look his age this is the BEST open free agent coach to try and backup the brinks truck! shouldn’t we at least try? I know he’s an East Coast guy, but try to offer what we did with Brad Stevens or even more. He’s always been a class act and would be a king in Bloomington. Give the kid a break, he does everything the right way and plays hard. He was asked to do a lot, let him hit the weights and grow as a player. We seen Malik’s jump, Cupps could have that same jump in year 2.

To be fair Archie was considered being a home run hire when he was chosen for us. He was the next young up and coming coach. Sometimes things just don’t work out. But everyone was hot on Archie being the biggest catch back then.
