I’m not big of a fan of most of the coaching candidates. I have to say the last 10 years has really taken a toll on me. He who must not be named would get me pumped up, after that I’d just as soon have Schertz or input whatever up and coming young coaches name that plays a good brand of ball and will work hard.

He was the coach when I was there in 94. Is he in his 70’s?

I feel like we are getting ready to announce Zava is coming to B-town and he’s gonna change his mind and go to Richmond!

On a bright note anyone that will dive in a two hour radius from Bloomington to recruit will be better than we have now!

I would rather have Collins if we can’t have Brad or Dusty. He’s a really good coach in my opinion.

I would take 3 guys from Indiana St,one guy from Evansville, one from Bradley, one guy from Iowa, and some really tall guy from Arkansas that just hit the portal.

I think Woodson is kinda like me and wanting to be in better shape.I want to do it and I want to put time and effort into losing weight but at the end of the day I like pizza more. He likes the idea of being IU’s coach but when it comes time to put in the effort of recruiting etc he would rather golf or go on vacation etc

Auburn isn’t playing anymore, I’d hire Pearl tomorrow if he would come.

Yeah I’m pretty fed up with What I’ve seen since 2000 and on except for a couple teams. I told myself that if they didn’t get rid of a coach that has zero desire to actually go out and recruit that I was gonna gonna find a new team to watch. The problem is that the passion isn’t the same. I can watch Purdue or IN state etc and enjoy certain things about the programs but it’s not the program I fell in love with when I was a kid turning on channel 4 and watching Knight throw a chair across the floor!!! I have most of my life invested. I’m seriously Sad.

I will just root for Michigan! I think I’m gonna like the staff he puts together and he’s gonna be able to come in Indiana and do some recruiting damage. Just think of it as IN North lol

I’ve been an IU fan for most of my life , but I can have room to have Louisville move in to contention as my #1 team. right now it’s IU then Purdue and looks like Louisville could jump up

It certainly appears that Dolson has zero power and Woodson doesn’t have to answer to him. Why would he even care what Dolson has to say?

I’m bummed

I’m having a crazy thought Chris….stay with me yeah Kenny Payne was an awful head coach But one thing he was for KY was an absolute Killer on the recruiting trail. Add to that his time working in the NBA He might be able to help because Woodson isn’t gonna burn up the rd recruiting. Even tho he was a bad head coach he still was at one of the biggest basketball schools in the country so carry’s some cache when walking into a gym. He definitively feels a little icky but he is best friends with Woodson and YA so it wouldn’t surprise me if he becomes Director of “Recruiting” or whatever title you want to call it. It will be entertaining to see where this goes!

I grew up in Bloomington and have rooted for IU all my life even though I graduated from Purdue. I think I’m about done. I watched Smith hit that 3 last night at Illinois and thought my god he would be beloved at IU. IU has lost its way. I’m so disappointed

I wish the nil collectives would freeze the account because screw Woodson people that don’t work don’t deserve nice things

While not the first choice for most, I would 100% be ok with it! Hopefully he could get Graves to come on board

Good information, a couple things I would say is that changing staff really does nothing for me. I think the assistant coaches did a good job of getting recruits to campus that Woodson wanted. Recruits don’t want to play 1980 style basketball . My guess is he probably wants Kenny P to join the staff. He definitely has some connections but probably just a terrible look considering where we finish the year and where Louisville has been under him.
