Once again - nothing is happening with IUAA. This is the only real information anyone has revived on this board today, but Zion aka “TMZ” replaces this news with a gif and we celebrate it. -

Just letting everyone know this is a hoax. I reached out to the head of IU events who works with / oversees parts of IUAA in Pam Whitten’s office. She confirmed that she has not been told anything about this, nor is she aware of any communication that would or should have been sent. People have their PTO earned and it’s Spring Break. -

This makes no sense. You just said they lost what’s basically an entire roster. He rebuilt that roster, improved on what they had, but there’s somehow still a disconnect for you? -

Hey guys. Let’s not forget there are people besides MW and SD who fly on these planes. My burst guess: Tom Allen had to pick up some boxes left in his b-town storage unit -

In year 1, Schertz took a St Louis team that went 13-20 (5-13) last year to 18-13 (11-7) in the Atlantic 10, arguably one the top 2-3 mid-major conferences. They went from a 2P% of 49.6% (209th in NCAA) to a 2P% of 59.5% (4th). He’s got them shooting 3s on 50.2% of their possessions (good for 6th in NCAA) while shooting 35.2% (103rd). He had players at ISU shooting 38.1% from 3 the year prior. I’m sure he will be able to do the same or close in year 2 at SLU if he’s there. This type of play jives well with AH. What he’s been able to do there, and what he did before at Indiana State (in arguably the worst city in Indiana) say more than enough to me about what he can do at IU. -

Oh I absolutely would. Like it or not, we’re in the tournament 3 out of the past 4 years, with a second place B1G finish one of those years, after failing to make the tournament for 6 straight years. Not to mention that we’ve recruited a high level (on paper). It took Brownell 8 years to reach the tournament twice, and don’t tell me that Clemson didn’t have the resources over that span with 2 National Championships and CFP appearances. Brownell’s success came after hiring Matt Bucklin, who he led def scouting. It’s aorth nothing that Bucklin’s scouting / recruiting included the likes of PJ Hall, Chase Hunter, and Ian Schieffelin while at Clemson -> who are the 3 players that have contributed to most of Brownell’s success (which really, is only recent success) in his entire tenure at Clemson. Matt Bucklin is now an assistant for Byington, and was with Byington at JMU when, you guessed it, Byington finally had a successful year and made the tournament. Would love to see Brownell / Clemson after these players leave, and would love to see Byington / Vanderbilt without Matt Bucklin. Brownell has had little career success at the power 4, and most of his success can be attributed to a single period of time with a single person changing on staff. Getting rid of Woodson for him is an absolute joke of an idea. -

Former LaLumiere coach. Assistant coach for McDermott several years. Already going to the tournament. Think that sums it up. -

It was basically Alan Huss while he was at La Lumiere from 14-17. He’s now crushing it in his second year at HPU. -

Wow, This thread made it 1964! The year Lake Monroe was built (they filled it ‘65). Great year for Bloomington history. -

Not true. Don’t know where your friend got this narrative from. Crean went to Sherwood Oaks, along with Jordy and Zeller occasionally. He sat towards the back to get in and out quickly / avoid conversation (totally get that). My family and I sat back there too because we were always late, but also, almost always there at the 11 service that he attended. Not one time did Crean do that. -

LOL - seems like something the kid would do. That being said, it would be hilarious. I think we all know how it will go if this guy is actually here 1 year. -

He is bad… here’s the information that’s available I’ve seen thrown out there: His offensive efficiency numbers by year and team: 2014 - OC - Arkansas St 76th 2015 - OC - Arkansas St 78th 2016 - OC - Maryland 68th 2017- OC - Maryland 70th 2018 - OC - FSU 106th 2019 - HC - UMASS - 128th 2020 - HC - UMASS - 126th 2021 - HC - UMASS - 127th For reference, Coach Sheridan sat 84th in efficiency this year. For further comparison, here are the offensive efficiency numbers (from good years) at IU previously: Deboer: 2019 - 17th Wilson / Kevin Johns / Seth Littrel: 2016 - 53rd 2015 - 27th 2014 - 71st 2013 - 20th 2012 - 49th The numbers from former IU coaches are the numbers we know we need to compete in the B1G, and Bell is nowhere near them. I know Bell did great things with the rushing game at Maryland, or the passing game at FSU (think they finished top 2 in ACC that year), but his offenses still stunk. You can have all the stats that you want, but if your offense isn’t efficient, can't convert on 3rd down, stay on the field, win the turnover battle, or score when needed, then what good are stats?? Hopefully something changes! -

How do I cancel my premium subscription??? I originally canceled in June and I have launched 2-3 support requests for this premium account to be canceled but I’m still getting charged. This has been happening since May. I know $12 isn’t a lot, but it’s getting pretty annoying that no one will help me and I cannot find a way to change my billing information.

Whoa whoa whoa. As a 25yo who was born and raised in Bloomington, got his degree here, and came back for a victory lap masters program, that is not the case! Any time the Hoosiers play a game against a ranked opponent in the Hall (not on Sundays because that’s a hangover day), that student section sneaks in alcohol and gets rowdy!!! As we learned with Duke, UNC, and MSU this year, blue blood crowds may play a larger part in a programs success than we thought, and I would go as far as saying our student section was an electric factor when we took down not 1, not 2, not 3 - but 6 ranked teams in 2019! It’s probably why Crean took down so many ranked teams (and got way too much credit for) at home as well. I may not know who the next coach will be, but I do know this: IU kids will always love to drink, and IU kids will always give other sports teams hell (especially good teams) whenever they come to town. Note: this is a comment about ranked teams at home. “Sister Mary’s State” home games are games that most people struggle to get excited for. And also Sunday games. Any Sunday game in the student section is painful. -

Bro.... archie actually did recruit well. In 2018 we finished 10th nationally in recruiting, and in 2020 we were 15th. He had 2 5-star recruits in a 4 years window, captured 3 Mr. Basketballs, 5 4-Stars, 5 3-stars. It’s not like we had a talentless roster - Archie just could not figure out how to coach them, or how to coach the right things. If you look at Archie’s offensive system, it’s better designed for mid-major conferences where a slight advantage in talent can give you that extra edge from a spacing, speed, and time-to-shoot perspective. That just doesn’t work in the Big 10 where everyone is basically on the same playing field.
