  1. I want a coach who has an edge. It’d be fun to be hated
  2. Osterman already tweeted out that IU is done this season.
  3. Lol some of you guys are unhinged
  4. You think he gets invited to parties?
  5. He went to IU and is an IU fan.
  6. Feels like Trilly doesn’t know anything about IU’s opening lol
  7. The buyout/contract speculation is always a little annoying to me because they’re publicly available. I looked at Brownell’s contract and based on quick math it looks like the buyout he would owe is a little over $4 million.
  8. I’m pretty excited about this hire. It’s clear that most people have no idea what’s going on and it’s pretty impressive honestly.
  9. I don’t believe Dolson would be dumb enough to consider Brownell. We’re better off taking a shot with any up and coming coach.
  10. Fans really need to relax about McCollum potentially preferring Iowa over IU. He’s from Iowa City. Don’t overthink it.
  11. If you use those as the only comparisons then that would explain basically every college coach in the history of coaching.
  12. I definitely believe McCollum has said yes behind the scenes in case our top targets strike out. That would make more sense to me versus Dolson 100% locking in on him with everyone saying he “has his guy.”
  13. They had to tell Brownell in person that he was never a candidate.
  14. We’re just used to these searches being like 9 days start to finish. It’ll be fine
  15. Goodman is such a ******. He could find the cure to cancer and I’d still find him insufferable.
  16. @AH1971 did you get a chance to read through Cronin’s contract yet?
  17. So you think there’s some magic loophole where UCLA forgot to include the possibility of switching conferences? I have great news for you! His contract is publicly available here: https://ca-times.brightspotcdn.com/7d/fa/56435b2f41b28b5f3575b651cf8b/micks-2022-contract.pdf
  18. Why would he get a reduced buyout from UCLA? None of your posts make sense.
  19. His contract is publicly available. As obviously assumed, the language is “PAC-12 Conference (and any successor conference)”
  20. Unless he specially has language about conference affiliation I highly, highly, highly doubt that anything has changed.
  21. I’m not saying they would fire him, but Cronin doesn’t have any leverage to get more money or change the terms with UCLA. His options are either honor the current contract or find a new job.
