JHS would not have been a top 15 pick had he of stayed at Pitt.

Self hasn't coached in the NBA, CMW has. Sure, I was using JHS as an example. CMW has only been here for two years so it's fair to say JHS and TJD. Self has been at Kansas for long long time

big assumption but on a loaded team, an all but sure-fire pre-season consensus #1 team and very likely a final four team at worst barring major injuries I just don't see it. I could be wrong though.

if MM is coming off of the bench for Kansas or even starting with limited touches no way he goes straight to the NBA as a one and done and expects to be a top 15 pick

with MM it'll boil down to if he wants to win a title or playing time(quicker path to NBA). If he chooses Kansas he likely gets limited touches AND returns to a school for a 2nd year. If he chooses IU or UL or St Johns, he'll get as much playing time as he wants. If he chooses IU he also gets the benefit of seeing CMW and company grooming him with a good chance at being a one and done potentially.

I dont disagree. I want the top DE or MHJ. But Richardson needs REPS.

based on the opponents' colts have this year I see us getting 4, maybe wins assuming Richardson starts day 1. If we end up with 5 wins, we'll likely have another top 5 pick next year(Vegas has us with the third worst record right now). If we come close to a .500% record that tells me Richardson progressed pretty well. If colts win say 9 games or more than Richardson exceeded 1st year expectations by a wide margin. To me it's a win win. If we have a top 5 pick, we get another top guy at another position. If we hover around a .500% team, Richardson progressed pretty well. If we win 9 games or more he progressed way more than I think most or any individual predicted for this year.
