  1. Just saw this on Big10 website. Indiana Sweeps Big Ten Weekly Women’s Basketball Awards - Big Ten Conference
  2. btownqb said what I was going to say on Grace's injury. The Auburn player's injury was from landing flat on her back and hitting her head on the floor after a battle for a rebound. The court did not play a factor in the injury in this one either.
  3. The problem was that the teams were told that the facility would have a certain look that would make the fan/tv experience more appealing. The facility and organizers did not fulfill this end of the deal and have admitted as much.
  4. Final IU 79; Memphis 64 Holmes - 27 pts, 5 rebounds Garzon - 17 pts, 6 rebounds, 4 assists Scalia - 16 pts, 6 rebounds Parrish - 10 pts, 7 rebounds, 4 assists Moore-McNeil - 7 pts, 6 rebounds, 8 assists Overall, 50.8% from field, 36% from three.
  5. First quarter we had 5 turnovers, none in second.
  6. Halftime. IU up 12 45-33 (came back from being down 21-15 after the first) Scalia - 13 Holmes - 12 Garzon - 8 Parrish - 7pts, 6 boards, 4 assists Moore-McNeil - 5 pts, 5 boards, 5 assists
  7. Tyler Springs @TyphoonSprings Update: a stretcher brought by EMS has arrived 45 minutes after Kharyssa Richardson went down. FWIW: Auburn-CSU is a one-point game with 4:00 left in the 4th when they resume.
  8. Just saw this on Twitter. Hoping for the best but does not sound good. Las Vegas Invitational (WBB) update: Memphis-Indiana tip-off delayed by a serious injury in the prior game between Auburn & Colorado State to Auburn player Kharyssa Richardason. The wait for emergency medical personnel to arrive at The Mirage is now over 40 minutes.
  9. Here is a picture and link to article in Indy Star. IU women's basketball plays in ballroom at Mirage Hotel & Casino (indystar.com)
  10. Agree on venue when men are playing in an arena for their side of the tournament. In the first year the men at least played in a high school gym.
  11. She was helped off the court but was able to put some very slight weight on it. It was caused by a tangle up on the floor. She was on the floor when it happened. I was unsure if she was tangled up with the other player or if her foot did not slide when she twisted away.
  12. Just got kicked out again. back to radio for the end of game.
  13. She definitely made the most of her summer workouts. Fun to watch.
  14. You may be right. Hard to say as I am only basing Geary on her time against Tennessee which really is not many minutes, and I may be putting more hope in Browne's growth over the summer.
  15. Browne, based on last year, is more physical than Geary and will fit in when we need a big to body up. Geary has length and will be the better fit when we need close-outs or the other teams bigs are not physical. Also, agree with "lots of options"
  16. This is pretty common in the SEC now. Really do not see it as much in the ACC or other southern conferences but it is still there.
  17. I expect to see the bench expand when Kiandra is back and the younger players get more experience over the next month or two.
